SVS has provided great bang for the buck for me. I have an sb1000, an sb2000, and 3 sb3000s throughout my home. They flat out perform without drawing attention.

Excellent vid, as always. Can't wait to hear your review on the Rythmik 18. Been waiting for you to get your hands on one of their big boy subs and hearing more of your tactful profanity. Currently rocking 2 FV18's in a 7.2.4 HT.

I'm gonna try and film that soon, it's just challenging because of the size :)

@NemoPropaganda no doubt. I would've had an easier time dragging two dead hookers out of my house than I did, getting the Fv18's down into my basement.

I was only able to watch in 1080p might want to check the new phones setting to make sure you are getting full definition uploaded love the list I’m partial to rsl and Rythmik they both were amazing subs at under 1000
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
Hi bro, that is intentional, I film at 1080/60, I don't think too many people are watching YT north of that resolution since it requires 50mbps or higher to watch higher resolution than 1080. I will experiment with higher resolution when I have some time but in the past when I tested 4k it was not much of a difference filming from an iphone and just took up more space on my phone.
@stuartboros7693Күн бұрын
I’m still extremely happy with my Arendal 1961s (which I got in part based on your review), which may now be discontinued. In terms of size, aesthetics, transient response, integration with my Maggies and still having enough oomph for home theater in my bedroom, I can’t complain.
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
oh yeah, those 1961 1s subs were built like a tank too! At the original price they sold it was some of the best build quality available!!

Great run down! I see Polk came out with a new SE sub line to match there Signature series of speakers. I’m a bit surprised because they already had the HTS line that had the same cosmetic looks of the Signature series. They must plan on keeping this series going for a long time even though it’s been out for a long time already. I hope Masimo is not giving up on new designs moving forward
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
depends on the room. For some people corner loading is perfect. My room corner loading is awful, but that's not an absolute truth for everyone.

I'm surprised Polk didn't make new subs for their Reserve line.
@JR-ho5qmКүн бұрын
@@kwill691 I totally agree. Even if they shared some of the parts from like to line with different looks to match the different speaker lines. Just shows it must be expensive to do.

I got a Rythmik LV12M recently and it’s pretty good. I’ve auditioned some SVS ported and sealed but it wasn’t smooth enough.

Would love to see a Rythmik FM8 review
@NemoPropaganda19 сағат бұрын
FM8 is very niche, you can imagine it would be similar to F12 so it's really for those that need a narrow shape. I did talk to Rythmik about it once and they said most customers preferred the F12 and since they are very similar in price F12 gives a little more output at the lowest frequencies.

Excellent breakdown! Do you know which of these are manufactured in the country within which they are designed? Which of these might be the easiest to set and forget? In terms of easily adapted to one's power and speakers. And placed wherever in the room. If there is any major difference in that regard. The price range here is perfect for me as I really would not want to spend over 1K for a subwoofer. I've lived without for so long!
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
it is unreasonable to expect inexpensive products to also be made in their home country. Most subwoofers should be set it & forget it once they're setup properly but very few subwoofers can be placed anywhere in the room, most require good placement to sound their best. If you want a sub you can put anywhere without worry you'll want something with auto room correction like the Buchardt Sub 10.
@lsaideOKКүн бұрын
@@NemoPropaganda so you are saying that all of these are manufactured in China? I know that's true of SVS. Thanks for the tip about the Buchardt. I'm not sure I would just consider products getting close to a thousand dollars to be inexpensive
@connorduke4619Күн бұрын
Excellent overview, I did not realise there was even such a thing as vented subs before. I wonder if you have tested whether certain subs pair well with certain loudspeakers, e.g. speakers and subs from the same brand using the same cone material, does that make a difference in terms of sound integration?
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
personally I don't care about cone material or any other details like that, I mostly focus on what the product sounds like in a real world environment, the driver could be made out of plastic for all I care. As far as speaker matching, personal taste is too much of a factor to say definitively that X speaker pairs best with Y subwoofer but i have certainly have found many winning combinations.

I'm curious about the new MartinLogan subs as well as subs by brands like Mission and Wharfedale.
@NemoPropagandaКүн бұрын
I don't think Mission has any subwoofers currently, ML doesn't have anything new on their website, and Wharfedale subs seem expensive for what you get, their 300w 12" is $999, do we think it's at minimum as good as the $899 REL 1205 MK2 or $899 SB2000 pro? It cost a $100 more so it's gotta at least be as good as one of those. Wharfedale subs look like an afterthought but I'll review it if they're confident it can compete in the marketplace.
@xavdemanКүн бұрын
@@NemoPropaganda Mission has the ZX and QX series subs and Wharfedale has a big 15 inch sub (SW-15). Not sure if they sell in the US. Most interesting to me is the MartinLogan BalancedForce 212. Dual 12" woofers.
@NemoPropaganda20 сағат бұрын
@@xavdeman oh, no, none of that is available in the US. As far as the balance force I know a few people who've heard them, they perform VERY confidently, the build quality is extremely robust, the price is high though.
