To me, this will always be poker. I was playing this game when I was like 5 or 6, and I was able to win probably more times than not. I remember playing my older brother in one game, drew a decent first hand, laid down three cards, and miraculously picked up a full house…pissed off my brother. He slammed down his cards and swore that I was cheating. This: By miracles in this game, that is how people got shot when playing it in the old west. 😂❤️

Which is funny cause it’s also the reason newer versions were made cause it’s a lot easier to not cheat with community cards 😄

I'm just really learning how to play the game of Poker! I think Poker is the best card game of them all. Especially 5 Card Draw. Because like the Tutor just said: 5 Card Draw is really a game of intuition and a bit of luck. And on top of that, it's a really fun game to play! I appreciate how the Tutor explains the history of the game too, going back to the days of Wild Bill Hickock. And how easy he makes it to understand how to play the game. I'm ready to play now. Thanks! Dominic. You're the best.

Hello ACG & Dominic😀😃, When Poker was widely introduced to Iranian people in about 60 or 70 years ago, this version of poker game: the 5 cards draw became so popular. It still is popular and its popularity in Iranian community caused it to be given a new name: “Iranian Poker” to be distinguished from other versions of poker game.

2:30 "last but NOT least"... high card is last AND least as far as hand rankings. 10:00 Open ended straight draw with 3 connected cards drawing 2, or inside straight draw with 4 cards drawing one. I would have folded with the $5 raise, but staying in the hand, I would have traded one card in hopes of a gut shot 8 for the straight.

Just a query! At a time, maximum how many players can play this 5 card draw?
@AllAmericanCasinoGuide4 жыл бұрын
Interesting question! I have never heard of a definitive limit but at 10 players the game would be unplayable with 50/52 cards being dealt before the first round of betting or discards. I would put the sweet spot at 4-5 players but would put a hard limit of 7 to a game and just brake the table into two tables if you somehow had more players than that.

@@AllAmericanCasinoGuide Really? Damn, changing all 5 cards (which is allowed on PokerStars) is a strat of mine that works incredibly well in certain spots/situations. If you go all-in or value bet (tournament poker) after changing 5 cards people will think you're a luck box a ton of the time and just fold, if they changed 3 cards I can deduce they have a pair and raise with all my cards changed. When I do hit it and there's aggressive people I'm against it's super easy to over bet for value.

Bang on! It was a slip of the tongue, I meant to say it was a gutshot straight all the way no open end about it. The reason for throwing the 7 though was I didnt want to go for the straight and wanted to instead try to pair up my high cards. Mistakes are made when the lights are on and the camera is rolling. Yes yes….. This can be played numerous ways….. No Limit…. Pot Limit… Limit or fixed Limit….. And 3 common blinds bet styles. Antee’s 1 fee for all players taking part. Usually 100-200 minimum bets. $1 dollar antee game minimum buy in $100-$200. Blinds 100-200Big blinds $1/$2 blinds games $200/$400 minimum Buy In. Or both blinds with a small Antee. $1/$2 blinds with a 50c antee rest of players still have to play. 2 How I roughly decided how many raises and or cards can be swapped. I’d usually put a lot the playing cards between a 3-5 into a short deck. And then ask someone to draw one card of the mini deck. They pick out a 3 the rules for the night are a 3 card swap limit. Also as with how many times you can raise I’d pick the same all cards between 3-5 are kept and one card is picked you pick 5 for example 1 bet and 5 raises per round limit. 3-4-5 cards you can swap randomly decide…… 3-4-5 raises after the first bet you decide. General tips….. 1. If you need to swap more than 3 cards you might aswell fold!!!! 2. Focus on your odds and pot odds….. 50/60% of the time your hands will be garbage ect. No pair, pairs are quite common. 3. Bluffing this man says this game is more of. I agree but will say unless you got a super good hands in this game like a straight or higher don’t bluff or over bet a lot. It’s a big gamble….. Bluffing only works if you rarely do it and do it wisely. Think in terms of outs…… 52 cards - 5 cards is 47 cards left unseen. Needing 1 specific card 1 out of 47 cards == 1/47 as a percent is 2.1% 1/47 Or 2.1% 4/47 Or 8.5% 7/47 or 14.8% 9/47 Or 19.1% 10/47 Or 21.1% Need one Card to make a flush a specific one. 1 card out of 47 cards that haven’t been seen yet? Roughy 2.1% of getting It. General rules and guidelines….. 3-5 Card swap limit pick between 3-5 Cards 3-5 raises per round pick how many times per round. It can be played between 2-8 players. When discarding cards, you swap 3-5 cards whatever the rules are in the specific game. You keep your cards you want to swap to a pile on your left and right and shuffle and deal out of the pile that you didn’t put aside. You want to swap 3 cards. You keep your 3 cards to your side and shuffle the deck and ur cards. If you run out of original deck when it’s depleted you take others short pile. Bottom rule is you use the deck until it’s depleted and then you take the other players discard pile and Shuffle then deal them. Never put your discarded cards back into the original deck or pile of cards this is Prevent you getting dealt the same again.

@AllAmericanCasinoGuide4 жыл бұрын
You are correct, but it really depends on the house rules. Some Casinos follow the traditional hand rankings, while others follow the rule you mentioned. Generally though, it seems like they are moving towards the traditional rankings, as mathematically speaking a full house has a lower chance of being dealt.

The only thing that my father ever did with my brothers and I was play poker. He started me at about five years old and I've been playing ever since. The games were this one...five card draw, and my favorite, five card stud. They are still my favorite games and I would play them every day if I could find a game somewhere. My least favorite games...note that I don't call them "poker"...are Omaha and Texas Hold Em. These "Cowpoke Bingo" or "Redneck Roulette" abominations punish good, solid players and reward morons, imbeciles, and idiots. Give me $5-$10-$20 Five Card Stud any and every day of the week. $5 to ante, $10 for the first two bets ("streets"), and $20 for the last two. And to make it profitable for the casinos, 10 players can play Five Card Stud. If I can't find a Stud hand, I'll take draw poker at the same stakes.
