Just came across your Chuck Berry video, out standing ! Thank you, from a 73 year old that loves Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lews and more. I played a gig in Charlotte, N.C. with Little Richard in 1966. I love the Blues, 50's, 60's and 70's rock n roll, Dylan, Prine etc. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks, Bob

Never saw anyone make it easier to understand than you, Pete, and you have a great teaching style, too! Absolutely great lesson and download, Peter. Thank you so much. I would love to understand more about the theory of doublestop combinations. i play mainly country and use a few that sound good when i can discover them but would like to get a better understanding to draw on. Any suggestions?
@PeteFGuitar
@PeteFGuitar 7 жыл бұрын
Yes. Always be aware of which chord you're improvising over. The most consonant notes for double stops will be chord tones, i.e. notes contained in the current chord. Other notes will cause various degrees of tension. This isn't a bad thing, as you can resolve tension by returning to the chord tones. Good luck, and thanks for watching.

Seek and ye shall receive! Just found your lesson on thirds and sixths, just the theory i was looking for. I'm a solo performer using a Gibson J-45 that's plugged in and I'm singing over it. The challenge is always to find guitar licks that have a full sound so that the bottom doesn't drop out when i play lead licks. Thanks again for your great teaching!
