"Princess Bride vibes" will sell me on any book. 😄 Hopefully I'll get to Tress soon.

Agree! If a book has that "Princess Bride" charm, it's definitely worth a read. Can't wait for you to dive into Tress and share your thoughts :)

Sorcerer to the Crown sounds good--I still have their old book on my shelf, NEEDS to be read! (Order of the Pure...)

One I've not tried yet! Looking forward to your thoughts on it :)

I read a charlie holmberg book many years ago as a teen, but haven't tried any of her later stuff! I might need to try some of it. I have read Zen Cho's black water sister and spirits abroad which are both fantastic! I highly recommend spirits abroad if you haven't gotten to it yet as well. I now have sorcerer to the crown and true queen both waiting for me on my shelf. It sounds like it does have some of the debut elements that Zen Cho has since honed, but I think I won't mind. Good to know the sequel follows different characters! This reminds me that I do need to read more Brandon Sanderson at some point.

I think you're right, Black Water Sister was chef's kiss for me, and I'll definitely pick up spirits abroad, you and Margaret have convinced me 💛✨️

Sounds like some interesting books, even the Brandon Sanderson book. (I still need more persuasion to read Sanderson though). Please note that you didn't create a bookmark for Assistant to the Villain at around the 9 minute mark.

Thanks, John. I'll fix that. 👍 I think Sanderson is popular, but he's not for everyone. A lot of fans think he has universal appeal, but I think only some of the Cosmere books do - like The Mistborn series
