Kairatune: wonderful ambient blip monosynth - excellent for sequences. Ragnarok: really powerful for lead or bass PB3300: Super for Pulse Width Modulation and reverb sounding pads (big, big, big). OBXD - emulation of a vintage Oberheim - loads of presets available. There are lots, lots more. In order to give a bit more atmosphere get Ambient Reverb and Valhalla Frequency Delay. There appear to be few decent drum modules about. But if you've bought a cheap keyboard that includes Ableton Lite then it's Drum Rack is included. That is very, very powerful with plenty of decent preset kits and a fully customised drum sample player which plays clips and hits simultaneously. I am in no way affiliated but the KVR audio website has gazillions of instruments and effects. There is nothing stopping anyone getting into electronic music if you have a laptop and a cheap keyboard the world's your oyster. Being retired I devote all my time to electronic music from when I started 2 years ago. So the above info, while not exhaustive, is based on my direct experience and there's a whole lot of stuff that I would not recommend either. But each to their own. 😊

The N6 hates my CPU. A plugin that's pretty good (not free) but cheap is air xpand 2. You can layer up to 4 sounds and tweak the effects of each sound individually. I think it's going for like 20 bucks right now. You can also get it free with some of the lower budget MIDI keyboards. I got mine with the Alesis Vmini. Fair warning to anyone looking at the Alesis Vmini, the pads on it kind of suck but you can also link them to different MIDI functions.

Why are you calling them modules?
@MSS-g7f6 жыл бұрын
They are normally called Software Modules. I.e. they are modular in format meaning you can have many together, for example, in your DAW.
@InfoAbsorbent5 жыл бұрын
@@MSS-g7f Are you talking about synchronizing them or actually passing the signal between them? A synth module is literally modular in functionality. Or at least it should be. These just look like typical software synthesizers. The person who made the video seems like a nice guy, but he might be misusing the term.
@MSS-g7f5 жыл бұрын
@@InfoAbsorbent Synchronising, i.e. blending output in a mix. not filter/dca pass-through. (or not that I know of - but I haven't looked into it, there just may be one or two that have that functionality. There is one free modular system I know of: VCV Rack (I think) and has many modules such as LFO's, filters, Sequencers, oscillators, mixers etc. It's open source and I know quite a few knowledgeable people hold it dear to their hearts. I downloaded it but never opened it ( got sidetracked by new hardware :)

I'm sorry, buddy, but none of these plugs fit me. I had 12 better plugins even on the desktop and. I lost when I wanted to add one plugin to Audacity. Only one plug left me Anti Transpirant. I had, among others, Marazmator , NERO and another similar to Marazmator.
