My darling, I thought your story was something I had posted under a different name. I also was going through a divorce, the husband was in jail. He done something unforgivable, and the narcissist still likes to blame me for divorcing him. You see he was just supposed to do whatever he wanted to do end up in prison and I was still supposed to want to be with him? I had two boys, One just mere day is from his 9th birthday. Days. I had so little for him because we relied so much on his father and his antics for the last 6 months had been chaotic and selfish. Honestly that's how it had been for 10 of the 15 years we've been married. It's about 9 years since that day. Since the day the blood ran cold as ice in my veins as I realized everything I knew was gone. Everything was hard. Things are still very hard. He's out of jail but he refuses to make any child payments and just sits at his ass and his mommy's house. But if I can do it you can. And I'm happy to announce that my sons, who are nearly both adults, one technically is, are industrious healthy mostly happy young men. And that doesn't mean there wasn't challenges, one of them has pretty moderate to severe ADHD. But the amount of pride you'll feel when you watch your children grow up and realize they wouldn't be the men they are now if your ex, their sperm donor, had stayed in your life is worth it. It's worth the fight. You be the best you you can be. Everyday. And if you have to sit in your bedroom in the darkness once in awhile, then that is the best version of you for that day. In the meantime remember something "Bravery isn't always the roar of a lion. Sometimes very very is sitting up in bed putting your feet on the floor and telling yourself 'just one more day'."
