Yeah it's one of those things where the quality of the work gets outside of the cultural comfort zone of people and gets them to appreciate something that isn't normally on their radar. I'm not into rap either - but I appreciate the art in something like DMX or Eminem. It's not easy to do what they do - there are alot of moving parts musically. I also like Zack Hemsey. Not sure if he is active now. He raps, but it's mixed with symphonies and electronic in a way that is really interesting. It's really deep as well philosophically. The intelligence of it draws me in.
