Always appreciate your honesty Nikki! Yes the lead singer does seem to take things personally and he has talked about them over the years,but to make a comment putting down another genre isn't really needed. I've listened to 5FDP for years always loved their sound and yes the lead singer has had his demons over the years. I try to just enjoy the music and from all the Live shows on video I've watched it looks like it would be a great show.

FFDP never charges veterans for their shows. They are huge supporters of men and women who have served and even give to different veteran organizations.

No one should ever judge you based on your style of music or your musical interests. You can be a fan of metal being at any show for any genre of music. That really upsets me that someone would be like that. I even know guys that have been to Backstreet Boys concerts that also listen to Slipknot, Korn, and Mudvayne. I never judge anyone for their musical interests. I appreciate everyone for their choices. I don't have much to recommend from FFDP, but I hope it's ok to recommend "End of Heartache" or "Starting Over" by the band Killswitch Engage. I really hope you get to react to them. Killswitch Engage is really amazing! Vocalists Howard Jones and Jesse Leach are incredible!

And yes, I love it when people are into things that I'm not expecting them to be lol. It's just a sign that they're more open to branching out I think. Not just listening to what is "cool" or fits a certain box. 🎵

I feel like you get a different kind of energy from a rock or metal concert I've been to both and I'd rather go to a rock concert than a rap concert

I do love Five Finger Death Punch and seen them in concert when they played with The Funeral Portrait as opening band. The drummer did not dress up as a skeleton at the concert. But my favorite song by Five Finger Death Punch is Wrong Side Of Heaven and my 2nd fav by them is Remember everything. I can relate so much to that song, being a 100% disabled veteran. The video they made with that song just emphasizes on so much more than the song alone... if you get the chance to see the music video, would highly recommend that. Another song.. another oldie goodie that I would love to see you react to would be Evanescence song My Immortal.

You should check out I Apologize and Blue on Black which is a cover of Kenny Wayne Sheppard Make sure you check out the version of Blue on Black that has Kenny Wayne Sheppard (the original artist) and Brian May from Queen. Both of these songs are great. I have been a fan of 5fdp for a long time and yes Ivan can rub people the wrong way sometimes but they are a great band with some really good music.

As someone who also really dislikes rap, end the entire value system it generally spreads...I agree with him. To each their own and you are entitled to your opinion ofc. I'm still not a big FFDP fan.
