If anybody is still wondering why this game hasn’t been released on Switch yet, here’s why from the Mega Cat Discord: Nintendo lot check found what was described as a ‘fatal bug’ at the 11th hour that would impact anybody who had purchased the game when the dev builds accidentally went up, and Nintendo and Mega Cat at are working together to get a build that will fix this uploaded ASAP. In addition, the PS4/5 & Xbox versions are all reporting bugs and issues, some of which can impede progress, and they’re looking into the issues to patch them ASAP as well.

You can’t publish a game that doesn’t allow you to finish it😂 I think Nintendo is doing better than ps and xbox. Imagine you buy the game and you can’t play it well (that’s whats happening on other consoles, I personally would get upset) nintendo at least has quality control. I checked the website of nintendo and they say that new digital contents are usually added on thursdays, so i personally think tomorrow their not gonna release it yet. Hope i’m wrong fellas😂

@@tomaketsolis8881 Yeah, it’s a bad look to release a game that won’t let you finish it, or is of poor quality, but the Switch version delay might just be a fluke. As far as I know (and please correct me if I’m wrong), Lot Check is basically to make sure that any game released doesn’t break itself, the system OS, other games on your system, or allow access to any systems that the user isn’t supposed to have. It isn’t any kind of bug testing process or anything like that; that’s all up to the developer and the publisher. Obviously, the system isn’t 100% fool-proof, and stuff slips through the cracks, but a ‘fatal’ bug sounds like the update to the unfinished dev version either: 1) Bricked the game so it wouldn’t start up if you had save data from the dev version on your system, 2) Crashed the game after the update was applied due to some kind of coding conflict between dev version and ‘official’ release, Or 3) Corrupted the game in some way that made it simply unfit to release. In any case, we might be looking at an actual Halloween window for release, as I think the fix and subsequent Lot Check approval will take at least another week, bare minimum. I hope I’m wrong though.

We've all got no idea when the actual game is coming. Very little communication from the studio unfortunately. Apparently a game breaking bug (for people who brought the game early) which has the be fixed and then submitted and approved by nintendo. Megacatatudios did say they would give us more information by the end of the week but of course radio silence from them.

Don't worry, the Mega cat Studios Team said that the game will be released this October 31st. They have said it on their Discord server and the reason why it was not published on September 27th was due to a big programming error that could have serious consequences :)
