As far as FNAF goes yes. This was done right. Could it have been better? Of course. But not by much. C:

I'm low-key glad Markiplier didn't die in this one, he didn't deserve such fate. Hopefully we will see him in FNaF 2🎉

i've been a fan of fnaf for 9 years, i have played every game, read every book, found all the hidden pieces of lore and have watched the movie, and i really like seeing reactions of people who don't know as much about fnaf as me

Whenever I see new fans that don’t know how deep the lore is I think shiiii that 8 hour video on fnaf lore really explains how insane this franchise is 💀

This movie being rated r would actually be terrible theres never really and blood in the games and r rated movies always have a people makjng out scene and nobody wants that also its not about making critics happy its about making the fans happy

You're right its about fans over critics witch is how it should be for a video game film.

I decided to watch this movie as I had nothing else to really watch... as simply a casual know by ear and sight individual on the fandom and such? I was intrigued by the take of the characters and the lore behind FNAF. Disturbing to say the least... But as a creative soul myself? I could see how it has become a massively popular fandom. I first heard about it when I was working weekend overnight shifts at my local aged care facility. Worked as an AIN. (Some of my co workers were really into the games and such.) The funny thing is? Whenever I was on the floor? No one would be able to hear me coming. (I was naturally very stealthy and barely made any noise as my goal was to perform safety checks on the residents within my area with little disruption to their slumbers as possible.) So when it came to pad and medication rounds? (which is usually a 2 - 3 person assist?) I would end up scaring the absolute shit out of said co workers when they went to look for me! :D It got so frequent...? The supervising RN would either ring/page me so that the rest of the team could pin point my location.... (which got annoying so I disabled it after a while because I felt like I was being targeted unfairly.) alongside checking the security cameras to keep tabs on where I was so that the team could await for me to come to them etc. 🤣My closest co worker begged me to teach them all my "ways." meanwhile? I begged them to not be so jumpy as I wasn't going to do a single thing to them unless they proceeded to get nasty with me. 🤣 Got the nickname "Chica." (As I used sugary food to stay awake. You name it. Chocolate, biscuits .. and yes... cake... to keep my blood sugar up so I could remain functional.) They used to make fun of said fact until we actually did have a break in one night. (A drug seeking moron... which is a known risk as we do have meds on site.) They just happened to cross to the radius of my area... and with some quick thinking? Such a risk was promptly put down. (Jumped off the nurses station desk onto their back, placed the blood pressure cuff around their neck, inflated it halfway to induce unconsciousness then dragged them to the front entrance where the police came to collect them.) :D It was scary.. but very thrilling. Glucose and adrenaline folks... Better than any drug you could do! :D Needless to say? My team were very very grateful when I was on duty as they knew that I would always have their backs. They kept up the FNAF trope by bringing sweets as thanks for being such a great co worker! xD

I find it really interesting and cool that the movie paid tribute to a bunch of different theories that ended up being debunked. DreamTheory (The name of the book Mike reads) was a theory that first 4 games were a dream, PurplePhone was a theory that William Afton (Purple Guy) is Phone Guy (Essentially what William was in the movie), and the last one I can think of is Vanessa being William's daughter which is a relatively recent theory as she is new to the franchise but just as swiftly as is rose it was also swiftly debunked just as the rest were.

I was pretty satisfied with how this movie turned out to be. There was a lot that didn't make sense. Like- Aunt Jane says Abby is mentally ill for drawing and having imaginary friends. Why would Mike get in trouble for people breaking in when he's not on shift? Venessa's character makes no sense. Is she bipolar or something? How did Abby and Golden Freddy get a cab with what money? But out of all of that, I really like how true this movie was to the games. Can't wait for 2 and 3. Something else i should say. People are so obsessed with Fnaf not being horror enough or not being R that they forgot what the games were about.

In the Games, a lot of fans theorized Mike Schmidt and Michael Afton were the same character but Scott never confirmed that one way or the other, also the fact one has speaking lines and the other doesn`t in The Games kinda goes against the idea. In addition, most Aftons are sociopathic and homicidal to some extent with the sole exception being Vanessa.
