FNAF as a game series is so absolutely MID that after a certain they could've put every character in C and it would have been fine. I mean FNAF was fun when it came out, it was interesting and cool and no one can deny the absolutely groundbreaking status it had for indie horror. I don't blame Scott for milking the fuck out of it either. As a story though, it is so boring, it's complicated for the sake of being complicated, and the mystery feels way too manufactured over time. The characters also end up feeling like rush jobs without much thought put into them. Almost like micro transaction re-skins in games, there is no passion in them even if you like a few cause it tickles your fancy. The reason you follow FNAF now is that you feel nostalgic for it, its your random ass hyper fixation, or you have rose tinted glasses for what it used to be.

There's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't change the fact there are things fundamentally wrong with FNAF as a series that makes it mid and the fans deserved a better process. Unfortunately the process may have been to stop making games awhile ago and letting the story rest as it was. I like the occasional shitty story too just because it entertains me. My personal one used to be FNAF until I got fed up with it, now mine is the Michael Bay Transformer movies. I know they're shitty movies, but I still love them and enjoy them, yet I still acknowledge they're fundamentally broken as well. There's nothing wrong with enjoying media that's in all fairness, mid or straight up bad.

I can always admit that SB is quite a freaking flawed game for example or that introduction for The Mimic could've been handled much better. But, at the same time, FNAF is at it's peak this year, alot of people enjoy the style or the story, old and new alike, and 2025 looks as promising as ever. If you drag something on for too long then it can absolutely become broken, and that perfectly describes FNAF. Eventually a story has to end, FNAF hit that point years ago and they kept going. They've had to do retcon after retcon and as I mentioned before in points you've refused to acknowledge because it really seems like the only salty one here is you, the mystery is too manufactured. After a certain amount of twists and 'Oh but he's still alive' it gets tiring and it is an obvious indication of a story that can't move on. It's a series about colorful robots and death, that'll always attract an audience and you shouldn't put merit in just numbers. Disney can put out slop and make millions just off of name brand recognition, anything with FNAF is going to get at least a small cult following on the Internet for the sheer effect it had when it came out. My comment was never for someone like you who is still deep in the fandom, it was for fans who've had enough and felt like the series deserved better. You and I will never agree, it's best to just stop corresponding with each other now.
