Not gonna lie, that is an awesome car and I'd love to have one - even the kidneys don't look so bad in that colour. And yes maybe the engine is "strong" but I wouldn't trust the long term reliability of any modern BMW sadly. Something amazing while it's under warranty but you wouldn't want to own it after that...

If your worried about warranty and not happy with the 5 years that is included, you can purchase more years like every manufacturer. I've owned a modern BMW since new from 2018 and had little to no issues with the engine or any part of the car. You do realise BMW and toyota have a partnership in making more reliable engines.

I'm running M3 Comp levels of power on a 2017 B58 540i, daily driven plus used to carry alot of load. Absolutely reliable. The S58 is more reliable, proven by the internet too.

Falls short of the sedan in everything but luggage space. performance, handling, noise etc. i have never needed more space so I'll hang onto my standard one.
