I generally agree with you about not limping. However I play in a poker room that is extremely aggressive. There is never a round that is not raised and there are a ton of three bets that can push you off of hands. so I almost always limp even with my very strong hands in the first two or three positions knowing that someone will raise and that I will soon have another option to bet or call. That allows me to re-raise with my very strong hands or bluffing hands and call with my marginal trappy hands that I really want to see a flop with against big stacks. This strategy in this specific game really seems to work for me. What are your thoughts on this?

Every game is different, so I won't claim that a limping strategy can never be effective. However, I'd argue that if there is is frequent 3-betting, you'd rather open raise your strong hands, face 3-bets, and be able to 4-bet. I also doubt the profitability of limp-calling with "marginal trappy hands" unless your opponents are making frequent, significant mistakes postflop. If a typical hand misses the flop 2/3 of the time, you'll be doing a lot of check-folding, and it will be harder to represent strong hands later. You also can never steal the blinds uncontested if you limp, which gives up the easiest rake-free and variance-free money there is.

I had exactly the same situation last week where I had KQ off in the big blind, cut off tight player open button called and I just folded . But flop was QQ9 and opponent had KK. 🤣 because on the flop cut off jammed and button called with jacks saying putting opponent on ace king

I’m ok with a preflop call in that situation. It’s a little different from the postflop scenario in the video
