They are such an unappreciated group and highly influential (certainly the first album). They along with Hot Chocolate and Imagination as well as other numerous British soul acts around that period changed the RnB scene forever. Its a shame they took a different direction in their career later on for their second and third album rather than keeping with soul music that first brought them fame not just here but in America.

So many memories. This came out July 1985. I had just turned 14 and met this girl over the phone. Her and her cousin would meet me and my homie at an arcade a couple weeks later. We hit it off and chilled out, played some games and got pizza. Good times.

This shit took me wayyyy back! I remember watching this on Hot Tracks every Friday night, always having trouble adjusting the antenna to get a clear signal. Missed those times.

The Michael Jackson look and dance influence on everything! With some Loose Ends on the track. ❤ I miss the 80's 2019

I'm 38 years old and i remember listening to this music at home and on the school bus when i was a little kid growing up and kids and teenagers and young adults in today's new generation dont know how much fun it was back then listening to this music and especially the early 1990s music and stuff today is not as good and this music is more relaxing and this music is now a vintage classic.

I’m getting some Loose Ends vibes from that smooth arrangement in the background 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I've never heard of this group. They seem early 80's when I was still crawling...but damn, the music is hot, the vocals are fire, the dance moves are sizzling and the video is steamy! 5 Stars indeed!

As much as i liked their music i think the general public….wrongly thought they were too sickly pop, when you listen now the production was way too good and unfortunately they did not get the recognition long term they deserved.

people forget how funky the U.K. were in the 80's & this was one of their youngest but best groups. Denise was a very talented lead singer especially for her age then, but she's a gemini, enough said

Such a good song, deserved a better video, was so into Five Star, this song was right up there with the best of British R&B, as good as anything by Loose Ends.

The big issue back then on a Friday or Saturday night was...who’s got a car, money for Michelob or clubbing, which club you were going to, and who you were going to dance with...and getting home safely before your parents knew you were drunk! Lol. Wouldn’t it be great to re-live an 80’s Friday or Saturday night? Ahh if only...

My teenage my best friends cousin dedicated this song to me back in 1985. Now, in 2024, some 38 yrs later we have come across each other 2 weeks at a brunchon then later that Saturday nights we meet at a dance club exchange numbers. It felt like it was 1985 all over again.
