Just woke up after deciding not to go to locals because I couldn't be bothered to learn the Yubel deck I was so excited to build. What a timing. Let's be real though learning modern decks is like learning a whole new strategy game each time. Keeping up is getting hard if it isn't the main focus in ones life. I really dislike the "READ" focus a lot of people have. It's not about reading, it's about memorizing 2-3 effects written in legalese with all it's nuances and conditions. All while trying to make chess like decisions thinking 5-10+ steps ahead (combo steps for certain goals, playing around interaction, anticipating interactions at X point and what plays you will have once it hits), hell it's even more exhausting than chess. It's like the mind game of chess combined with the insanely exhausting part of executing and resolving combos/effect chains IRL what results in my current apprehension. I feel like I play a LOT better in master duel because I have a top down view of the "board and play pieces" at any given time. ADHD smoothbrain problems I guess. Wasn't this bad when I was younger, but I was a lot more dedicated 10-15+ years ago to the game as well as it being simpler back then. Rant aside, do you use edopro for testing? I struggle finding matches on there for whatever reason.

Finally invested on a deck for the first time since 2010😂 yubel seems like fun and like it’ll be around for a while too. Can’t wait to play it person

Yea reading in order definitely helps, always the lower level monsters first since they’re usually the starters. I feel like even if a spell or trap isn’t played often if it feels right when reading and then practice I feel like it’s worth it end of the day, too many people just copy and paste profiles they see online.

Great video. I used a similar approach to build Chimera-Illusion control when designing the deck before the new illusion cards come out next week.

Love the content, seems simple but sometimes the simple stuff is neglected. Insta sub

Nice vid. I’m just starting to learn Tears for fun so I’ll use these strategies. On an unrelated note, nice plants 😁.

'The first step...is the hardest step for Yugioh players...' Me: He's gonna say read the cards, isnt he? 'Read the freakin cards.' 🤣

Did you take down the ashened video?

Yeah apparently creators get in trouble from Konami for posting that kind of thing, so, trying to avoid that

He made a community post about it a couple hours ago. Worried about risk to the channel. I think because they are leaks, he could get taken down by Konami for talking about them if they wanted to.
