Sean is the biggest jerk... yes, I feel bad he struggles with mental illness but he lies and never takes blame for anything. The moment J defended himself Ritchie went on a one man campaign to change public opinion on J, all the while never mentioning any of his own faults. Just pointing his finger at J. Clearly J grew up. Shame Ritchie hasn't. Sean has blamed everything that went wrong on J and failed to take ownership of anything he's done. A true man takes ownership of his own faults before pointing the finger. Which is EXACTLY what J has done and Ritchie and Sean failed to do!!

J was the best, the manliest, the sexiest and the leader of the group. Without his rap and Alpha masculinity carrying the rest the band really wouldn't have had any impact. Oh, and he has even more masculine sexy Daddy vibes now than before. Total hubby material. One cuddle and you would just know he'd look after you. As for the others, especially Sean and Ritchie, jealousy can lead to a lot of bitterness. Abs seems to be the only other genuine one.

They were all obviously struggling mentally apart from Ritchie who seems like he was pretty much unaffected by it all. Scott and Sean really seem to blame Jay for a lot of it. In my opinion its both of them only seeing their own struggles and not that Jay was also struggling. Sean needs to remember that at one of the lowest points in his life its Jay who he went to and Jay who was there for him. Their anger should be at their management/label who obviously was working them all to beyond their limits.

I do agree that richie seems to be cool calm and collected anongst them I don’t buy the bullying part though as they’re young boys living together back then im pretty sure they all bullied and verbally abused each other in their own little playful ways in my theory though i think simon fired them for according to richie it was sean and j’s misbehavior that caused them their US label deal which i think that time simon and their management was aiming for as they could’ve been much bigger than they’re already are then after that sean quit and they all called it a day without simon nor his team doing something about it i mean they signed a 6 album deal with simons label that is clearly a breach of contract simon could’ve sue them for that coz they technically owe him 3albums more they only released 3 album during their time they attempted a comeback in 2006 sean didn’t joined which led to another disbandment then another comeback with j not comfortable joining i mean there’s a clear pattern there about j and sean that the other guys took sides with which left abs and richie in the middle i mean it’s obvious that scott will side with sean as he had a previous beef with j back then richie and abs sided with j which the other two might felt betrayed obviously seam was not comfortable for taking flack for j when confronted by richie coz richie was on j’s side didn’t richie said on one of his interview that j came by his home and ended staying for a month obviously j and richie was friends but i do admired richie for not letting his depression get the best of him he actually ended up really well as well as scott who thanks his now wife for keeping him stable all these years its been 20 plus years since they all got together i think its about time either j or sean addressed the issue between them it’s a shame that j once said he considered producing for sean then they ended up hating each other i mean sean wished j well during one of their interviews but j still refuses to defend himself i think j partly blamed himself for the band’s disbandment as 2 of them had a breakdown under his watch which i thinkone of thier managers think j wpuld keep the younger boys in line and yet two was lost and that they blame him for everything that had happened with them when they’re the only ones who knows the real truth on what happened in their little frat house which obviously no one should be blame but their management i mean living together might’ve worked with the spice girls coz they’re were girls boys just have a different nature basically putting them in one house without adult supervision not to mention the adult was also just a boy himself was a ticking time bomb from the get go im glad simon learned from this sadly 5 was damaged by this they could’ve been as big as 1d if only they were taken cared properly then maybe just maybe j and abs will still be with 5😅

It’s shame the member couldn’t swallow there pride and make amends regardless of what went on between Sean Jay as the best members were jay/ABS/Sean even though would be nice for the fans to see him just be man get up and preform because the band were brilliant although ABS did the reunion with 3 other members and literally smashed it but now left which other 3 members have now carried on doing live music doesn’t sound great live regardless if abz isn’t in it but still would buy the new music if they all did get back together in near future would be awesome to see all five members performing again

Even though I do think J did "bullied" Sean at some point, it seems he really cares about him too. I mean he took care of him both during the time he was in the band and after during his breakdown. But Sean he's a pain in the ass and I think back in the day J didn't have patience enough to being a father to him, sweet talking him, cuddling him (which is ridiculous) and maybe said some words, did some things not to bully him but rather to man him up. But Sean as usual took it personal and thought it was against him. I'm not saying this because I'm biased about J, but I really think the latter has a deep affection for Sean. You can see how touchy it is for him talking about Sean.

I wasn't born in the 90's... But that era was definitely the best. And the boybands were a phenomenon. Five's music is great, it's a shame they aren't on good terms. They are all talented. But it's sad that there was no union and I feel like they had a bad manager. If they had stayed together, the story today would have been different. However his music will be a legacy forever. Beyond their personal problems this band was great and one of the best without a doubt. I will love their songs forever, I hope that one day everyone will make friends again🙏

so glad i got to see this, the trio painted such a vile, horrible picture of him as some kind of big, ignorant brute who likes to hurt people weaker than him. Being a gemini myself, i can vouch that one of the things i saw in this video is something i do, which is i am very upfront about my feelings, you can see it on my face what i feel because i can't hide it well, and J seemed so humbled that I know that the crap he dealt with (being famous, insomnia during the high times of 5ive/boy band era), he dealt with differently than the other dudes but that doesn't make him horrible! Being loud, even a little cocky/outspoken was just his personality as a young guy, and they just simply didn't want to reconcile truly, painting this picture of the past amongst the three of them of what they assumed was true, but that's the thing about gossip. Abs seems like the mediator between everyone and I know that if J was truly a horrible person, Abs wouldn't STILL be talking to him and catching up REGULARLY, not to mention that J pretty much did what i did, just finding some meditative peace and help align us more clearly inside. So what he doesn't want to be in a boy band or famous at his age? Just because he was ONCE, doesn't mean he's required to do so again, the trio shouldn't have talked so badly about him like he's abandoning even his old fans like that, he just moved on, and that's fine. You only live once, he's allowed to move on to privacy if he wants, geez~ Abs is definitely a good friend though, still letting him know that he values him as a person and still has a place for him in the group or other music stuff with him if he wants :) Sweet guy~ And before anyone asks, my favorite in the band was actually Scott for years up to now, so this documentary has been pretty eye opening i'd have to say lol.

Sean, Ritchie and Scott have been performing as the band since the reunion 9 years ago and they are still together and seem to enjoy what they are doing. They also released the first new material last year, for the first time in 20 years. Sean has writing credits on some of the old songs (along with J and Abz) so he did have creative input. J has found his peace while Abz is busy selling dirty laundry of his ex to tabloids (she alleged abuse on his part and a narcissistic ego + drug addiction) and appearing on cheesy reality shows.

+Andrew White If you go back to 2013 you will see Abz never had support from Scott, Ritchie and Sean. Abz was on CBB and the boys never said anything in support but when they were to perform on the show, sure enough they mentioned THEIR performance but still again they said nothing about Abz being on it. They said Happy Birthday to each other but not to Abz. Abz was on All Star Mr & Mrs they never mentioned or supported it but when Scott went on it they supported and mentioned it. Abz never had any support right form the get go from the other 3. I personally think that because Abz remained friends with J and constantly in interviews tried to say they were lying about J they pushed him to the side and pretty much out the band. Abz repeatedly said "They are making J out to be something that he is not. He is a good guy". But fans ignored it, preferring the hate band wagon the boys were pushing. I think the fans and the boys pushed Abz out of the band. Abz was lifeless on stage and fans were brutal about it but had they gave a damn they would have seen something wasn't right with the poor guy. I mean just look at the fact they gave him no support at all. Not to mention if you watch twitter now, every time Abz does something the boys try to over shadow it by praising (manipulating) fans or talking about something they got going on. Trying to pull attention away from him. This is why I can't call myself a fan anymore. Someone said it recently in a fan group. If they can't be loyal and resect their own how can they expect us to be loyal or resect them? I will always support Abz and J. As for the other 3? Their dads and they're the ones being rotten.

I don't know why some of you are so annoyed with Sean. Even Scott and Ritchie admitted they had problems with J too, yet everyone is acting as if Sean is the only one who said it. Even if Sean did stay with J's family when he had a mental breakdown, it doesn't mean that J didn't hurt him or damage his confidence in anyway. Perhaps he didn't realize the damage J had really done to him until afterwards when he really had time to look back and reflect. Even worse, to those of you who are saying you wish he was never put in the group in the first place, do you not realize how much he contributed to the group? both vocally and in writing? One of the reasons 5ive was so popular was because of how edgy they were for a boyband, and in my opinion, his voice contributed that. There's a reason Sean sang more than Scott and Ritchie. His voice was better and the raspiness of it really complimented the group's edgy style of music, especially with Abz and J's rapping. Even in parts where more than one person is singing, you can clearly here the prominence of Sean's voice. Maybe he should have opened up to J sooner about how he really felt, but don't underrate his contribution to the group.

But it's only J that is being bullied through the media and only J that is being pointed at. There's a definite intent to destroy J's name. Hence why they aren't talking about the issues they had with each other only J.

I think people are critical of Sean is because he seems to have a chip on his shoulder and it seems like he is blaming Jay for his breakdown (atleast in part) while Jay said he nursed Sean. Also, if he had a problem with Jay (which he clearly has), then he should have just called Jay. Noone is denying Sean brings something to the group, each member does. Sean just seems to have issues and acts a little immature.

Not sure how ive ended up here, but im glad i did! I really loved 5ive as a teenager. I liked Blue too, but most of all i loved East 17. I guess i liked the 'bad boys' of pop! Nostalgia is a beautiful and powerful thing. These ordinary people who happened to live an extraodinary life which we got to watch, hear and enjoy, it stays with you. How strange it is then to see these same people years later, speak of their turbulent experiences within their bubble, whilst we looked in from the outside unaware. J was my favourite member of 5ive. Always found him to be the most underrated member, and to me, the most attractive. I dont watch tele or read the magazines/papers, so i hope all these people went on to find their peace and happiness in life. At the end of the day, we're all here, trying to forge our way through this strange tangly web called 'life'.

Why the comments hating on some members? They were very young and have different personalities. It seemed J DID some things to offend other members. But yea, he said himself that he was loud and some things had been taken differently by other members... Although J never really meant those things, let alone bullying. Maybe he felt they were all friends and brothers, that's why he acted like that. You know, feeling comfortable around them (which perceived in the wrong way). From this video, I see that there's no point in J to come back, even though the fans wants to see him so bad. He felt like he's hated by other members, and the wound is still there. Now he found peace already. Why would he be back to something that will most certainly wreck his peace of mind? I think J made the right choice not to come back. As much as I love all members to be back together again, I think J deserves his peace.

Honestly cannot believe some of the comments here. The amount of fans who want J back in the fold of Five even today yet want to insult Sean at the same time sickens me. Sean seems to have 'come out of his shell' somewhat. He's mentally stronger and much tougher than what he was. He still has much to give to the current line-up of Five while J seems to have become more laid-back and come to embrace life out of the public-eye where everything is/was controlled. I can recall there was an interview given to Australian Teen Magazine TV Hits back just mere weeks before Five called it quits the first time round in 2001. In that interview J hinted at two main points: 1) Five were basically ending & 2) He personally had reached a point in his life where he wanted OUT of the whole public side of showbiz and the music industry. BTW: I still have my copy of that magazine issue and can easily scan & share the article to back up what I'm saying. Cannot vouch for the validity of how truthful that interview was at the time but the person coming across in that magazine interview seems to be the same person giving his side of the story in this video.
