I know we are all here for the same reasons, this great channel and these great bikes. I was very fortunate yesterday to meet my wife at the local motorsports shop to show her the elusive XT250 as I have been looking for one for a year to no avail. They had one on the floor on Friday and when I arrived yesterday it was gone. They get them in pairs of two and only had a couple last year. We walked around looking at other bikes and then I spotted it back in the left corner of the store. It was all shined up and ready to go. Everything that is sold goes to the left corner of the store. I said to her "That's the one I have been trying to find to show you." I turned to walk off and she tearfully said "That's yours, I bought it for you."! You've got to be freakin kidding me, what a day! I never expected that, but after 31yrs. I know she still loves me, as she was just as happy as myself. Now I have some accessory questions for you guys. I am planning on bigger foot pegs to start. Besides that I am interested in handguards, a rear rack, and Rotopax gas can. I am also in need of a full face helmet (as I only have an open face), riding jacket, riding pants, and riding boots. I already have gloves. I am looking for well priced brands on all these items from the bike accessories to the clothing. If you guys have certain brands or places you buy your products that would be great to know. If they can come off Amazon that would be great as well. I am figuring around $200-250 for a helmet to get started. Sorry about all the rambling, I am just excited. Thanks

Just got mine in February. I’m kinda new motorcycle rider minus my few years experience of dirt bike riding when I was a kid 15years ago. Fantastic bike though it does great for town travel and off roaming too. It’s does best on highway between 35-55mph I’d say Super happy with my purchase.

Found a 2022 with only 500 miles on it and pulled the trigger. Did one weekend of trail riding about a month ago and have another planned next weekend--Where I live I have to drive a fair distance to get off-road. In the interim, I've done a bit of neighborhood cruising on it. It is a totally different experience from my street bike (big ol '93 Suzuki GSX1100G), and it's a unique sort of fun. I'm very happy with the purchase. My buddy rides a WR250 and says I'll outgrow my XT250, but I'm thinking it's a keeper. We'll see. Thanks for the excellent videos--I've been binge watching your channel. Hope the recovery from the wreck is going well.

Oh the XT250 is definitely a keeper, congrats on your bike! I thought I outgrew mine and went an got a KLR650 and a CRF300L, kept the XT and didn't ride it for a few months. Went back out on it later and realized just how awesome and capable it is. Now the XT is my 'go to' for the deep backcountry riding. I'll be adding another XT when funds are available so the wife and I can both do some deep backcountry exploring. Appreciate you watching!

I picked up a 22 Honda Rally 300 last fall. I really like it. In late Nov I got my wife a 21 XT 250 due to the low seat height and could not be happier. Added flatland skid plate; DMO pegs and parabellum rally wind screen. Great bike. I am impressed with what you are doing off road with yours. Cannot wait to try the XT. It is 45 lbs lighter than my 300 Rally, but feels even lighter.

Flooded my xt on an oil road in Kentucky, underwater with the throttle stuck on. After about a half an hour started and got me home to include a 55mph highway. After getting back found out the air intake box was full of water, and it still got me home. (Did need about 5 oil changes to clear the chocolate milk oil).

I easily get 120 miles on a tank as that's usually when my low fuel indicator comes on which means I have .5 gallons to go. I've done 150 miles on a tank. Nice vid. It's a mtn goat and so fun.

I bought a new XT225 which I put 33,000 miles on it before I sold it. It was the best motorcycle I ever owned. I haven’t had a bike since 2010, but at 68, I have the itch again. My disappointment with the 250, is why did they not keep the 6 speed transmission?

Hey man. I just acquired one that's 5 years old and only has 240 klm (149 miles) on it. Its basically never been ridden and hasnt had its oil changed yet. Im assuming the oil in it will be the break-in oil but seeing as its a 2017 and its now 2023, I'm keen to just drop it out. Should I put new break-in oil in it or should I just go with synthetic now and be done with it? Thanks. Also, I don't have my license yet so it will continue to sit a bit but I will start it every week and do a quick run up the back street and back. Thanks.

I had the same thoughts and is why I got a 300L. I really enjoy my 300L but I'm glad I kept the XT. I bet the new 300LS (short model) will really be sweet.

Got 2017 model as my first bike. Bought another four bikes since then, test rode 65, put 35k miles on five bikes all together. I was at first trying to trade it in but, it lost so much value it didn't make sense. Now I think I may keep this bike forever. I lost count how many times I crashed both of us and we kept running. It is way more capable than I'll ever be. It took me to some stupid crazy places. Few times I thought it was finished but, just unjammed and straigtened some controls and it kept going. It will go 70-75mph on highway with 200lbs on it (my record 82mph). The only thing frustrating is that it sometimes suddenly stalls uphill at worst possible moment. Just changed oil on it today. I change oil 1-2k and filter every 4k.
