Very informative and honest video. I always try buying from a guy in a shop rather than online unless there's a massive price difference. Always like the experience and to check the boots are perfect in both fit and finish. My local Timberland store actually came in cheaper than online sales this season.

Dude i agree 100%. And honestly, look at places like toys r us, if we as a society keep buying everything online, eventually these stores will go out of business and we wont be able to go check something out, feel something, or even find impulse items we didnt even know were there cuz we didnt google them

I will definitely pay extra at a brick and mortar store to keep them open. You can walk out with the right boot and take it back to them if it has a failure. I have yet to get a boot online that the 1st pair works. Unless you order 2-3 pair you will have 2-3 weeks before you have the right boot. The last company I ordered from had free shipping for exchange only. I had to pay shipping for a refund. So, weeks later I’m out $20 shipping and still have no boots.

Didn’t get a notification from this video so I unsubscribed and clicked the notification bell again. As I’m sitting here drinking my coffee ☕️ I can’t help but to miss your Sunday podcast.

I feel the same way about the podcast. I need to find a few guys that are well versed in other things ( Guns, beer and car's etc..) and build a Sunday podcast from a place like that.

You should really do a review of the norwegian boots Alfa Bever Advanced pro or Alfa jerv. These boots are the best Ive ever put my feet in. I currently use the bever for everyday use and mild hiking, but they are capable of way harder use since they are designed for the hunters in norway.

Most customer service people could care less about the consumer so why should I care about them. Most or the time I can by boots for almost half the price online. There’s only one family owed business that sells boots that are first quality boots cheaper than going to the company that actually makes the boots. I’m from Boston, but less than a hour away from me is “Red Shod Barn” they have 2 locations in New Hampshire that are the best prices on boots you can find in store and they actually remember who you are if you go there regularly. Definitely the best variety of boots even thought they don’t have every model, but they do carry the most of all the popular 🇺🇸 made work boots you can find. I highly recommend checking them out and the always have boots on clearance. I got lucky and pick up first quality pair of Redwings heritage rough necks the 8146’s for $150. “Red Shoe Barn” one in Plaistow NH and their newer location in Dover NH

First off, good video and good information. Second and most important I have had limited success purchasing online. The reason I say that is the first pair boots I bought online without naming the manufacturer were decent boots, great price, just not very comfortable. It had nothing to do with the boot manufacturer but was just not the right boot for me. The second boot I bought online was from a different manufacturer but it was from an online marketplace and there were many issues with the soul of the boot. Next, i went to a breaking mortar store and purchased the same boot about 8 months later and noticed the sole was completely different than the one I purchased online meaning that it was as it should have been and was very comfortable and the sole was not hard. By hard I mean that it was almost a second hand boot that had been sitting around forever. From then I started going to the actual brick-and-mortar stores and found a store that I like that provides fantastic customer service and I have bought five different pair of boots from them in the last two years. I now know the size that I need from that boot manufacturer if I do ever want to buy a line again. but if I do buy a line again it will be directly from that brick-and-mortar stores company website and not a marketplace store.

My big thing is how and where do you find the time to break in all these boots? And how do you justify owning so many?
