I’m not to far from you (20mi max). I took my van out last night just to hang out and enjoy the rain. Parked in Nashua, ordered some take out wings, had dinner and watched a movie while listening to the rain on the roof while cozy warm. So calm and peaceful.

Matt, that was very encouraging talk. I have a van I have built out, but have not lived in it. I have traveled and stayed overnight in it, but I know there is a big difference. You have encouraged me. Thank you 🙌

Your appreciative introspection of the ups & downs that the past years in your van have given you is very interesting and refreshing to hear. I'm sure other van lifers can relate to your philosophical summations. You have put into words what must be somewhere deep in their hearts, too. The confidence building must be the best gift overall. I liked the driving in your pj's. Who wants to put on street clothes just to walk to the car anyway?😉

Dude you ever watch Chrome Valdez on Van City Van Life? He right about parking....in all reality nobody pays attention to your Van. I know I wouldn't. People are thinking about other things and never even see your home. It's not nearly as bad as your mind plays it for you. Good video bud! Keep it up!... Jason, central Indiana.

Love the opening view of the frog statues with the city lights and rain. 0:01 I have always dreamed of living in van, in order to travel and experience different cities, but with that comes the fear of the unknown,, and where to sleep,, and feeling safe and I dont know if I could ever get over the stress of that. Not sure I would consider that a gift or not.

5 gifts of vanlife! What a great list! Love the sound of rain too. We have had a drought in Texas for a while now and the lake that I live on is as low as I have seen it in my 68 years. We really need rain. Have a great weekend!

Yeah I'm in my own little world when it's raining. If I do ever get a house I'd want one room with a low, thin, metal roof.

Always interesting content. I’m retired and I use my camper van for 2 to 4 weeks at a time through out the year. I think you should try an electric blanket. Get a 12 volt electric blanker that doesn’t time out after just a few hours, so that you don’t wake up in the middle of the night cold. Bluetti makes an alternator charger that hooks up to your van battery that will charger almost any portable power station. Up to 550 watts while the engine is running depending on the power station. Electric blankets will use about 50 to 60 watts, so use a power station big enough to power it through the night. This is a very stealth way to stay warm, also a lot more safe that a propane heater. Always put a regular blanket over the electric blanket to trap the heat. The 12 volt blanket heats up slowly so turn it on ahead of time so it’s toasty warm when you crawl in.
@DottieStanley21 күн бұрын
I just tried out my 12 volt electric blanket yesterday for 30 minutes using my Jackery 300. It worked great! One of the best purchases I have made so for, getting ready to hit the road next year from Texas in my 2006 Chrysler Town and Country.

I’m so glad you are enjoying your life in a van, and to be truthful I would love to live that way, unfortunately being in my sixties health is another very important part of life, in the last 4 years I have had both knees replaced and one hip, now it looks like I will need to replace the other hip. I’m not complaining this was the hand I was dealt along with some other major health problems. I know I probably won’t ever be able to live without a bricks and sticks home but with each surgery I know I will be able to do it part time in the future, so that’s what I’m working towards, keep making videos it really helps seeing someone enjoy van life. Stay well

If my knees were going I’d get a house too, getting into and out of the van constantly can be very physical

Love the new van/studio lighting! Going to start calling you Ol’Bue Eyes (after the great Frankie S.). If you could lift the fram up a pinch so we don’t lose the top of your head. A little more light from above would be great. I realize that might wash out more of the red background (which remains the most super cool Van interior on the Tubes!). I think you are the most authentic Van lifer out there. Ps - I hope you don’t mind the technical commentary if so pls let me know. Peace out!

FYI a landlord absolutely needs your permission to enter the apartment.
@klynch732920 күн бұрын
Not so. With proper notice (usually 24 hours) Landlords have the right to enter and inspect. The laws protect both tenants and landlords.
