I've hiked a few trails but I'm definitely not a hiker. I did go solo up Mount Washington though .. Tuckerman Ravine Trail > Lions Head Trail > Tuckerman Ravine Trail > summit on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend of 2004. Clouds were coming in from below after Lions Head Trail and I made it in time to take the shuttle van down the auto road after scarfing down a few chili dogs. Got a shirt in the gift shop .. This Body Climbed Mt. Washington elevation 6280 ... wore that shirt proudly.

I love all the videos and scenic footage, you have been an inspiration to me I've been seriously considering trying to to give the van life a go. I love how you said people who rent and pay a mortgage are living an alternative lifestyle. I believe people need the security of a home base and it is a constant obstacle. There is so much to see out there take the leap and feed your inner wanderlust. Unnecessary belongings and an apartment keep you grounded and in a spending loop . If you haven't used a belonging in the last six months and it's not sentimental toss it l.

Hey dude, thanks for keeping me company while I finish the final details of the sprinter build. Last night while pouring resin, I saw out of the corner of my eye you fill up your water tank from the wand at the car wash place. Are you aware that those car wash places use recycled waterthey filter the nasty water and reuse it. Don’t think I’d be putting it in my water tank. Enjoying your company, but I wouldn’t wanna be drinking any of your water or taking a shower as the skin is the largest organ of the human body.
@undertheradarvan7 сағат бұрын
That is bad information my dude. The spray hose dispenses fresh water, soap, and wax all through the same hose, yet all goes down the same drain. Obviously it is not recycled without being chemically separated first. The fresh water spray at this place, if not every car wash, is city water. Only the soap mixes are recycled.

Umm sorry I have to correct your nautical lingo again ... that red double bladed thing is a paddle. Paddles can be double bladed for kayaks or single blade for canoes. Oars are for row boats and usually come equipped with oar locks that fit into the sides of the boat. You should get a Pelican Case model 1300 waterproof for your phone for the day you roll over. I got two .. one for my camera the other one for the phone, wallet, keys, cash. They sell them on Amazon made in USA with lifetime warranty.
@undertheradarvan7 сағат бұрын
Can you operate the phone through the case? I need to constantly get my phone out, just to film
@damkayaker7 сағат бұрын
@@undertheradarvan - I just looked on Best Buy .. they have a Peilcan floating smartphone case that looks like you can operate the phone in the case $14.99 ... only 1 year warranty though so that model probably has plastic windows that will degrade. I take a lot less photos now being it's put right back in my 1300 case.🤔

You might wanna think twice about filling up your tank with the water from the car wash wash. Most car washes recycle the water that goes down into those drains.
@undertheradarvan7 сағат бұрын
Recycled through filtration and reverse osmosis, perfectly safe for cleaning. I don't use it to drink. Are you the same person who made this comment on another video?

Last year my home insurance was cancelled (long story) so a new agent came out to inspect. It was December and I had decorated my big old jade tree with pine cones. Boring. So I dug out some ancient glitter. Really dead glitter from fifty years ago. And glued it to the pine cones. Well. Yeah. Stuck in the hallway rug. Would really sparkle when I put the lights on. When the agent came in, the sight stopped him dead in his tracks. He stood there for a long time directly under the duct-taped fire alarm, staring and deciding whether or not to walk on through. Man, it was one of those moments. So in my case, wayward glitter gave the finger to the man. Ha.

I think my decision has been made. I saw a camper van, which I am going to assess for a life in it later. Thing was cheap around about 3k. Low mileage, some 35k. Let's see what will happen. Because with that I still have money left for updates etc on the camper. So that is all ( for now atleast)

It's cool that you take such pride in your van. It's very unique! Amazon has some very good mini car vacuums made by "Fanttik" with 2 Ts. I have the slim V8, and I like it a lot. If you can pick up these messes before they get ground in, It's so much easier!! This channel is a bit odd. There is nothing crazy about it, but as a camper dweller myself, I just find it refreshingly honest and funny. I watch every one now!

As a fellow Massachusetts van guy I've been enjoying your channel and have been going back and watching the older episodes. I've been marking some of the locations you've highlighted on my master Google map where I keep track of locations I learn about that I'd like to visit in the future. We track our own adventures using GaiaGPS and it's been fun to overlay all the past tracks to see where we've been with the van since we started using it in Dec 2018. My wife and I are not full time van folks as we have a home, but use our van for our multiple road trips around the country each year as well as our short local trips. Our road trips were once done in a Subaru Forester with a hotel booked at the end of the day wherever we were. My wife isn't a hardcore camper and wasn't thrilled about sleeping in a tent so the van has been a great way to save over the cost of booking hotels on our adventures. I can sympathize with your glitter issues having had a similar experience. It's damn hard to completely remove it. Reminds me of the quote attributed to Demetri Martin: "The thing about glitter is if you get it on you, be prepared to have it on you forever. Because glitter doesn't go away. Glitter is the herpes of craft supplies." Looking forward to your future explorations.
@undertheradarvan7 сағат бұрын
Thanks for watching! I car camped for 15 years in all sorts of vehicles, but I remember the Forester and the Sienna as being my favorites. The savings from not buying hotels really adds up! I ca't fathom paying three figures just to sleep any more.
