I totally understand what you said and how you’re feeling. Leaving my country and living in another country, in a different community, is truly challenging. Especially leaving behind the place I grew up, my family, and my friends makes it hard to maintain those connections, requiring tremendous effort. Of course to find good friends here as well. I always enjoy talking with my friends. However, we tend to stay in the past. Our paths are very different since we’ve grown up, so it’s hard for my friends and family to understand the issues I’m facing here. But I have my husband who always listen to me, and I’m grateful that I can share everything with him. Sometimes it’s really difficult to explain it cuz English isn’t my mother language, but expressing these feelings of sadness and depression makes me feel much better.
