Bruno Cathala is one the greatest designer there is. He did Shadows Over Camelot, Cyclades, Five Tribes, 7 Wonders Duel, Splendor Duel, Kingdomino, Sea, Salt and Paper and many othe great games.

First of all, Ben, there is nobody in boardgaming social media who can tell a story as theatrical as you. This was pure joy. However, no Matt Leacock? The man who single handedly propelled the coop game to great heights with a seemingly easy and yet complex game called Pandemic. I do agree with most though but for me, after playing games for more than 20 years, I now find myself more and more going back to the brilliance and clean design of the mother of all euro games, Agricola. Where modern euro games are often convoluted or contain a myriad of mechanisms, Agricola is clean and with all those decks that came out endlessly replayable. For me Uwe Rosenberg is on the top of the pantheon of greatest game designers who ever lived. And a small aside. We don’t play Ankh Morpoc anymore and I finally pulled the trigger to sell it at a local games con in the Netherlands. But hearing you speak about it so passionately if you want it I will gift it you. Me and my wife will be at Spiel from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. So reach out if you want. I need nothing in return, maybe the promo for Tir Na Nog which I will try to buy at Spiel (or if sold out, shortly after). We had our laughs with Ankh Morpoc but it hasn’t been played in years and it needs a good home.
