I recently purchased the Roofull 5 port hdmi switch off of Amazon. Literally looks like the same build. I’m going to take a wild guess and say they are both produced by the same manufacturer in China 😂

Question? It is possible to connect it to a sound bar? My sound bar has only 2 HDMI if I connect this to it and then connect all my devices(PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and SNES mini) to the switcher, it will work properly. Would the sound bar recognize it?.
@bashfullJ883 жыл бұрын
Yes it works with soundbars.

If all the devices connected are turned off, and the switcher is always turned on, does it have a constant flashing light until a device is switched on? Thanks

Do you recommend using video cameras with this device, like to switch between cameras for church on a TV?

Is this one of those switches that strips the hdcp copy protection? Not asking for a friend.

Seems okay but I don't understand why it wouldn't be USB powered, so you could power it through the TV. Defeats the object of having more inputs if you're one plug down.
@razredge684 жыл бұрын
Why would the power source be a relevant issue? You still need line of site access to the devices which means you won't be hiding it behind the TV. I personally would leave auto off since it can cause issues with a docked Nintendo Switch resulting in screen blacking out for a moment.

What about Auto switching using CEC? Specifically Auto switching using Nvidia shield and Roku CEC? Will this work with devices like these that go into a low power sleep mode or is this feature broken unless it Powers off completely?

My only question is would this work with something like the OSSC?

Don’t HDMI switchers that require outside power add input lag?
@felipehoferdenecken93324 жыл бұрын
Hello! Nice vid! Is the power supply universal (110-240v)? Or 110-120v? I live in Chile so i dunno if i’ll need a converter to run it!
@kevinfromsales94453 жыл бұрын
Great review! Does it add any noticeable input lag?
@solidsnake64053 жыл бұрын
No they don't add any lag thankfully or atleast none that I have seen. But there must be better switches out there,these have way too many glitches..
@kevinfromsales94453 жыл бұрын
@@solidsnake6405 thanks for answering. What kinds of glitches does it have?

My older Viewhd VHD-UPT3F 3 port 4k60 switches were a set it up and forget it Solution. It didn't matter if I turned my tv on first or last either way I got a display. I could easily swap back and forth between inputs as sometimes I like to do comparisons of games between playstation,xbox,and pc. They never froze up,never glitched,they simply just worked so that is what I was expecting with these 5 port switches,same functionality but with a couple extra ports,but that's not what ya get here. Expect to be getting up,pulling it out from the shelf and unplugging it alot.

Ok I've spent the past week with this fivehome hdmi switch and it's complete GARBAGE!! Every time I go to use a device I have to unplug it first or the switch box simply won't display. Today I got in the SGEYR 4K@60Hz 5x1 HDMI 2.0 Switch and it's basically perfect!! It doesn't even need to be plugged into the wall for it to operate!! it will fully run off your hdmi power. Only draw back is the output port is on the side rather then the back,but thats a non issue for me.
@DD_Boo2 жыл бұрын
Does that switch you got support HDR? The one in the video is listed to support it but they didn't go over HDR support.

4 star? You failed to mention it uses a 2032 battery. NOT a common household one like, AAA, or AA. That's a knock on the ease of replacement!
