Ray Rice had every right to knock her out cuz his girl spit in his face and violated his manhood. I would of definitely done the same if I was in that situation. Ezekiel Elliott shouldn’t of got anything. He was found innocent but nooooo nfl wants to be a ally for wah men Greg Hardy is the one who should of got a bigger punishment. Unlike Ray Rice, Greg wasn’t defending himself nor was he disrespected so this is a case that nfl should of treated the same they are handling deshaun watson Deshaun Watson should of had 6 instead of 11. Most of the charges turned out to be false only about 5 had actual any evidence of it Alvin Kamara DEFINITELY should of got punished. If it's something off the field, especially violence towards women, the NFL is like meh. If it is something that seems to affect the integrity of the game i.e. betting, deflated footballs etc, then they drop the hammer. The NFL doesn't want to give off the perception of the game being tainted. They don't care what their athletes do as long as they deliver on the field.
@andrewpadaetz55492 жыл бұрын
the cost of the 1971 1st round pick for tampering was worth it if you're a Fins fan..it brought you Don Shula, who led the team in his first five seasons to playoff appearances every year, 3 Super Bowls, 2 Lombardis and the perfect season of '72. OK, no more trophies after that but Shula lasted all the way until 1995 by which time he was the NFL's winningest coach.

I feel it’s time to start suspending the players for a year, multi million dollar fines, and their team can release them with no payment penalties. I think one of the reasons for Goodell's lack of consistency in regards to the personal conduct policy has to be attributed to the NFLPA's fecklessness over the last two decades. Perhaps a stronger union would have negotiated a CBA where a binding arbitrator's (in this case, Judge Robinson) decision would have been the final on the Watson's case instead of still allowing the Ginger Hammer to wave his gavel willy nilly.

Everybody gets on the NFL for the Ray Rice light suspension, but as I pointed out to a coworker at the time, "There had to be District Attorneys who saw that same video and decided not to prosecute. Why doesn't anyone roast them?" And as an addendum to the Adrian Peterson story, the NFL and the Vikings weren't going to do anything to him, until one of their business partners, Mariott Hotels, I believe, made a statement that they were pulling their deal with the Vikings. Then you saw results. As soon as I heard the news, I posted in my Fantasy Football Group Page that if the NFL didn't do anything to him, as Commissioner I was thinking about removing him for the entire year. Only one person in the league complained, and I said to her, "You'd think being a mother with two kids would have some bearing on your decisions.", but she was all "Fantasy Football is Fantasy Football." The calvin ridley situation is hypocrisy squared. How does Watson get 11 games while ridley gets a full season suspension? Last time I checked, sexual assault on over two dozen women *allegedly* is way worse than sports betting. The league also gets millions from an activity now legal in most states and expexts their players not to place a bet when ever other commercial during a game is compelling you to join in the fun. I know it's just preseason, but I have zero interest in watching the nfl amongst the plague of bad pr and legal woes. I quit watching wwe amongst all their scandals in 2019, so it won't be hard for me to cut out this cancer from my viewing schedule
@kennycai86952 жыл бұрын
Not disavowing Watson of any wrongdoing here, and unless one of his cases actually gets hauled into a courtroom, we will never know the real details. However, the way this case was handled reeks of a half-hearted attempt to virtue signal in the face of a certain movement which will definitely put me on a microscope. When the Ray Rice incident happened, there was not a big fuss about labels and rights (this was in 2014, anything past 2016 is when things get real crazy). Twitter was a lot tamer back then, and believe me, if a 2nd Ray Rice scandal happened today, that would have been an automatic indefinite suspension, even if it's just to keep the wannabe activists away from digging through the League's proverbial closet for dirt. The so-called Wheel of Discipline is really just a PR tool to make the League look good in light of off-field scandals and controversies, cause at least on the field, you have multiple witnesses watching the infraction. What a player does off-field is really anyone's game, but seeing how much the League is pandering to the wannabe activists (possibly hoping to rope them in as a free PR team, the fools), it really depends if any labels are being trotted out. Seriously, when AB called Mike Mayock a slur, the most he got was a fine (until the Raiders decided enough was enough and outright cut him). If the roles (AB is black, Mayock is white) or genders were reversed, it would have been the Pandora's Box of crap storms if word got out.
