Sean Elliott missed 43 games and Chuck Person missed the entire season. If anyone had incentive to tank for Duncan, it was Boston, as they were in possession of the Mavericks first round pick that year (and Dallas sucked during that time as well).

The Rockets "audit" was actually done by the NBA. It's like the last two minute report, but for the whole game, and only the teams get access to it. The whole idea of the "points" is the Rockets talking about the fouls and free throws, which is really sketchy, but the audit of the game was done by the NBA.

I never understood the tampering rule. Do you know of secondary phones? Representatives? Are you the NSA? NO? Simple fix: Players and organizations can talk all they want as long as the players' current franchises are informed about any details concerning the current contract. Same for brands. If Nike wants you, they gotta talk to Adidas first if you're under contract there. That's what contracts are for but they should still be able to negotiate... As if they could keep people from talking about their financial future and possible legacy building...
