I get all the Amp Pro hookup but you never show the Aftermarket Amp to the Speakers hookup? Did you use another harness to tie into the factory speaker wires to by pass the factory Amp? Just a heads up, I use the Amp Pro with my Dodges. Depending on the amp you use, pay attention to the 5v or 4v options for its rca outputs. I assumed it would be considered a low-level input and it turns out my amp considers low-level anything up to 2v. I had hiss and whine coil noises because of this-- so remember to use the owners manual and pay attention to what the amp input limits are.

@@ceavalencia4767 Hi- there are a few possibilities since the install has several conditions in order to work, but my first suggestion is to go back to the speaker inputs under the driver console. A few of my speaker wires did not match what PAC amp listed (by color), and I had to manually test each color to verify which speakers actually were correct. Next I would verify the rca connections are in the correct labeled output. Please let me know if you get it figured out or run into other, or the same, issue

@Sean Sean I'm going to start testing speaker leads with multimeter. I'm using Toslink 2 channel mode. Seems like colors aren't correct idk. My purple wires get my front right speaker going and low sounds in my rear right at the same time

@@ceavalencia4767 i went with toslink as well and was much happier- there was a ton of hiss using rca cables. good luck as you hunt the issue- it took me way longer than it was supposed to to finally get it right lol

This is a really good value considering the price of integrating an aftermarket head unit with a premium sound system. Most times the wiring harness is more than the new aftermarket unit, especially if it's only a single din, non touchscreen piece. It also looks like it's easier on the installer as well. I can't wait to start recommending these!

I plan on bypassing my factory alpine system (2015 grand cherokee) with one of these as well. My biggest reason is to eliminate the surround sound and center channel crap and go back to a basic F/R/S setup that im so used to. These PAC modules are a real game changer!! thanks for the video

Hiram Crook it plays though the new speakers. It is a seamless integration. Navigation, lane departure, and backup all work

If you're hooking one of these up in a vehicle that has a factory amplifier and you're adding an aftermarket amplifier. Once you hook the amp pro up have you bypass the factory amp? And if so on the dip switches, is the fourth dip switch on or off? Very confusing. Thank you if you answer this question

+ABE JESUS at the moment you have to cut the speaker plug and tap your new amp into those wires. Or run all new wires to the new speakers. They are coming out with amp harness at some point so it will just be plug and play for the new speakers.

I just had the PAC installed in my '17 Dodge Charger. I experienced a noticeable drop in bass. Before installed I did not need to use the bass function on my head unit. I used the bass knob exclusively. Should I have used the PAC bass knob instead. Need help!! ASAP

Sam Banda yes it is way better. You get a clean pre amp output just like an aftermarket radio. AudioControl is work with iDatalink for their version of this.

can you mount hte amp pro far enough away so you can reach it under the dash for a reset or program? Looks like they should have given you more length on that part. How are they getting a flat signal?

+ISEE YOU yes it is long enough to do that. The radio has a flat signal coming out of it going to the amp. The signal is not variable and is controlled with the data bus in the car. They tap into all of that to make it work.

The AmpPro only supports a few systems. I plan to use a fix 82 to make sure the factory signal is flat.

+John Hunt we did so the factory chime would still work, and only on the fronts. It is not needed for the system sound. PAC will have a add on harness for this soon.

The Great Empire!! They are 2 different things. You could use this to go into a Dm810 or the amp. This is not a high to low adapter, it gives you a real preamp output from your factory radio.

I have a 2011 Charger and I know there's one for my car. My question is this; will installing this eliminate the sound from my front, rear, and factory sub speakers in which case I'll have to change and amplify them? Also, will it effect the 5 3.5" speakers?

Ben Hinz this is to add a pre amp output to your radio so you don't have to do summing though a High to low. Most of the time this would be used with a full system upgrade.

Potro-5XR the lc2i is a high to low adapter. It chokes the amplified output down to low level output that can go into an amplifier. This is all dependent on the signal being a clean along and free of any equalization. The amp pro connects to the data bus of the car and give you a true preamp level output. It is the closest you can get to having a perfect output from a factory radio.

I installed this on my 2015 f150 with Sony premium sound, I went with new speakers all around and a new sub. I was told from my car audio shop that my Sony amp had to stay connected because it was tied in to the vehicle computer and couldn’t be removed completely or it wouldn’t function properly, is that correct??? Or should I have been able to remove it since I went with new speakers and amps???

Hey Five Star, recently had one of these installed on Focus RS with Sync3. When i place an outbound call (paired via bluetooth) with my BlackBerry, my friends android, or an iphone and activate that call with VOICE through sync, the call is only through the center speaker in the dash once the call is active. Voice prompts before that are through all speakers. .... An INBOUND call is amplified through all speakers. An outbound call placed using the touchscreen on my phone, paired via bluetooth is amplified through all speakers. Android Auto and CarPlay outbound voice calls play through all speakers. Feels like a software bug to me, with the Aampro. The outbound calls before aampro installation workd fine. For the record, there is a Helix DSP and Director in-line as well. Only the center channel speaker and rears are powered by the HU still. Front are 3-way audiofrogs. Any suggestions? I'm currently waiting on aamproglobal support.

I need you help I just installed profesional Two 6x9 and two 6 2 pioneer 12's And 5 channel Amplificador JL 700/5 I think the Amplificador is to small for the subs

If its the XD700/5, it's 180 W RMS x 1@4ohm, 300 W RMS x 1@2ohm under 14.4V. So depending on the Subs you're using it may be too small, if the Subs are around 300rms 4ohm subs make sure you're wiring them parallel. That will put the 2ohm load at the Amp, but you're still splitting the wattage to the 2 of them.

Hi there! I just installed this Pac AmpPRO to my 2015 F150 with a Sync 3 v3.0 retrofit, and so far I haven't gotten it to work yet. I have a Hertz HCP 5D 1500w amplifier and 2 Hertz Deici 250.3 subwoofers. So everything is plugged and it gives me a solid red on the first LED indicator, nothing on the second LED. Power tapped on the red terminal and ran it on the driver side, used Stinger Elite 6000 RCA for all 6 channels and ran it on passenger side. Bass knob is connected. I do have several questions: 1) all the dip switches are on the OFF (up) position, do I have to toggle any of it? 2) what kind/size of wire did you use for the remote turn on wire? It wasn't explained in the video but do I have to line it up the aftermarket amp? I assumed it is needed so I wired it. 3) what size of speaker wires should I run to them? 4) I will double the check the fuses but I think they're all fine.. (there 2 25 amps I think on the amp) 5) I'll look up this in the manual, but how do I know if the amplifier is turned on? 6) I used the metal clamp that holds the 40/60 back seat behind it for the ground since it's metal vs aluminum. Is that sufficient ground? I know from the other video you went underneath and had it bolt under the frame. I can hear the chimes and music play on the 5 speakers, except the stock subwoofer that I plugged out. Nothing from the sub box. I did try the subwoofers before I bought them...

Brian Timmons that model truck will more then likely have the fake exhaust noise coming out of the front speakers. This is going to sound weird. Connect the rear speakers outputs of the radio to the main and 2 inputs on the LC. Do not use the fronts. Connect the drives front door speakers wire to the center channel speaker in the dash. Fade the radio to the rear speakers only. Connect the output of the amp to all the speakers. The LC will create the sub channel. The center speaker will give you your Bluetooth phone and gps if you have it. You can also give me a call

Regarding the fake engine noise - you can disable this using the FORScan application and an ODBII to USB adapter. Search google for 'FORScan Spreadsheet' ... There is a forum post on one of the F150 sites that explains everything.
