Fivics Polite Three Finger Tab: Old vs New

Three or four years ago I picked up the original Polite Three on close out from Lancaster. Feeling the need to have a backup I ordered a new one from Fivics USA. I knew when I ordered it that it no longer had three layers but I didn’t notice the other differences. The palm plate still feels the same in my hand, so it will do. This past weekend I was at indoor nationals and learned from my bale mates that none of them had a backup finger tab. Sigh.
