Your network adapter might be not working properly. Try to switch external adapter and than try. If that works problem is with your internal adapter

1.Lotus Geek very useful information you should also mention that 5ghz dependent on the wireless adapater itself for example I have a TP-Link WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter which is automatically 2.4 ghz. 2. 2.4 GHz WiFi will support up to 450 Mbps or 600 Mbps, 3. while 5 GHz Wi-Fi will support up to 1300 Mbps.

5ghz router doesn’t work for you. You must buy adapter that is capable of 5ghz WiFi. These days most of the routers are already equipped with 5ghz WiFi. So just purchase the adapter insert into your system, connect with your router and enjoy

Lotus Geek My laptop does support 5G but 802.11n is not even showing up in the advanced section. In CMD it does which is how I know my laptop should support 5G.
