[SOLVED] WiFi Not Showing in Settings On Windows 10 | Missing WiFi Fix

I'm on Win8.1 and I'm assuming the steps should be the same at this particular time 3:03 I only see one Network adapter which I believe is the Ethernet since I can use the ethernet and windows sees it, that is working fine except is a 10/100 connection, this is one of those All-in-one computers from Hp(not sure if that matters), I did the ping and got the same result you got at the beginning of this video but I booted up with an Ubuntu usb I had and had the same issue of Ubuntu not seeing the Wifi card, made me think it was the card that was defective but since you said the ping showed the card being ok then I don't know what the issue is.

Thanks for the technical tutorial. I actually was having problems with a Windows 11 install did would not see my T-Mobile router. I avoided doing destructive things that probably would have made the proble worse. I paused at your section on the WiFi card device driver. You and others said to search for a current or updated driver, which I had done. What I thought of and what you mentioned was to search the PC for older drivers that had been installed and worked before the Software upgrade. My most current driver was from Inte and the previous that worked was a Microsoft driver. I installed that one and the WiFi worked again. Thanks for the detailed process...

Nice guide, however it did not work for me this time. Drivers were hidden and couldn't be updated. After I uninstalled each one, they were not installing automatically. Found drivers via Vendor's page. Although showing as installed, they were just not loading. Issue solved after Safe boot and then normal restart. Putting this here as it may help someone else solving the issue and save you some time.

@@user-kz2qs4br4r Hi, if you have an ethernet/cable connection, please try to download new drivers from the vendor directly. You can search with brand e.g. Lenovo/Dell drivers, go to the vendor's page, where usually under "support" you should be able to find download "drivers". Then, you can use the automatic scan to detect the device model or manually add it. Once found, just have to download the Wi-fi/ wireless drivers and install them. If it does not work after installation and reboot, please try with safe boot by following the steps below: 1. Win button + r 2. Enter "msconfig" 3. Switch to "boot" tab and select "safe boot" and click "OK" 4. Restart machine 5. Repeat step 2, but this time uncheck "safe boot", then triger reboot I hope this can help with solving the problem.🙂

​@@apoliox6747 Yes! I had to do the following: Power off Unplug my charger Turn the laptop over(upside down) I had to locate a small pin sized hole on the middle right next to one of the screw holes. Use a paperclip to press the button and hold for 40 seconds. Power on Reconnect Charger IT WORKED.

Try to create mobile Hotspot and connect. Check if it's working. Pls make sure you have all the latest windows updates also wifi key is pressed. Do a network reset 👍

Exactly. My wifi does now exist, if my system sleeps or hibernates, when i turn it back on, wifi totally does not exist on it. It only works after i hold the power button for long and force it to shutdown in a way that is not good for the pc. Then it works when i turn it back on.
