Dip base is my new cure all for everything 🤣 one corner of my wallpaper kept peeling up a little so i put a bit of dip base on the wall and BAM! The paper hasn't moved since

Also wanted to add, thanks so much for explaining everything as you have. When I used dip powder before I did not do the middle first so my nail would get a very odd shape. Doing the middle as a first layer gives a more natural appearance to the nail shape. I feel so pleased knowing I have a technique I can count on for repairs because when I tell you nothing holds but this... I mean NOTHING holds! Not even industrial strength glue lol.

I just wanted to tell you that Saturday was the first time that I’ve used Dip Nail Powder. I watched several of your videos and got really good tips on what to do and what not to do. I ended up with 10 beautiful nails. They weren’t thick at all. They look so natural and beautiful. So THANK YOU😀

I have to thank you. This combo ( I use silk wrap vs teabag) is the ONLY nail repair that actually holds longer than 2-3 days for me. It holds until I remove it. I have tried glues of all kinds, silk wrap, linen wrap, tea bag alone, dip powder ( without wrap first), fiberglass wrap, some awful smelling toxic spray combo and NOTHING and I mean NOTHING holds for me. Idk if I'm hard on my hands or what but it would always tear right through sometimes even the next day. This is the FIRST ever combo that I can feel secure will actually hold with normal, everyday activity and I can forget it's there. I just wear it under my normal liquid nail color ( no dip color). Thank you!!🤩

I soo relate! (I tried all but the toxic spray you mentioned, that I'm humorously intrigued about.) I will try this method as it looks promising, and comments like yours back up that notion.
@aamanpour36306 ай бұрын
@@cia1370 LOL I wish I could recall the name of the spray, it was some kind of curing spray used after some glue like stuff. Sally's sold it. You'll want to evacuate the home and possibly quarantine for a bit if you decide to try it.😆

Glad it was helpful! 🫶🏻 I struggled my first time because the dip liquids were slow drying so it just moved all over the place 🤣 but it works beautifully with nail glue or faster drying dip liquids 🙌🏼

Good morning, Chelsea. Thanks for the useful tutorial. I tried to use tea bags with broken nails before with mixed results. Bookmarking this.

Oh really?! I tried once with a slower drying dip liquid and had issues! It worked beautifully with Kiara Sky’s faster dry time 🙌🏼 I wonder what happened with yours? 💗

I just did this with a coffee filter. My thumb nails are half mush, (its hard to explain but i wind up with half nails) it's a genetic thing. My other nails are all growing out except my thumbs. I use coffee filters to build out the half that breaks off. I wish I could share pictures, I'm really impressed with how it holds up. I've had them repaired like this for almost 3 weeks and other than growth they look perfect.

Thanks for breaking the process down so clear 👌 luckily I haven’t cracked a nail but couple weeks ago I had a cracked corner it completely came off I just used nail forms and dip. I think u can also use lint free wipes to seal cracks.

Hi Chelsea! Your videos are so amazing and super helpful! You taught me how to do dip manicures and make them last 2-3 weeks! I'm trying this repair method because I just got a crack. I'm repairing tonight then adding color in 2 days. I've never done dip powder on top of a top coat. Is it just the normal process of putting dip base over my dip top coat when I want to add color after this repair process?
@AliviaPinnix-xt4dh Жыл бұрын
After thinking about it I think I've answered my own question lol. Dip top and base are interchangeable, I know the Modelones base that I have works as base. Which means yes I can add color dip powder even after I use dip top coat to finish the repair. I get it!! 😂 Thanks Chelsea 😊
@SipAndDip Жыл бұрын
Hiii! Thank you so much for watching! Sorry I’m just seeing this 🫶🏻 but you are correct that the base + top coat are usually interchangeable! For this video, I used the dip base for the repair. Sorry if I didn’t clarify that 💗 you can also use a nail glue too!

How long should dip nails last? I can't seem to go more than a week without chipping. Going on vacation and wondering if I should just polish my nails and hope nothing breaks instead of packing a dip kit. Any suggestions??
@SipAndDip Жыл бұрын
They should definitely be lasting several weeks! Can you walk me through your application? How many layers are you doing? It may be that you need more layers + build up an apex for strength 🫶🏻
@debschultz143 Жыл бұрын
@@SipAndDip they chip on the free edge corners. I am building an apex. I am going to do them today and focus on covering all the way to the free edge and see if that might be the problem.
