For me 1 the kernel version doesnt press and 2 i cant find the app of the fingerprint but i know well. That the phone has a sensor and that i used to use it but i had to factory reset my phone then it disappeared and earlier i once reset the phone it didn't do that

Hello, I dropped my Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite phone, the back cover fell off and the sensor cable was torn apart. I ordered a new fingerprint sensor cable online and plugged it to the socket. I then followed the steps you suggested but I still can't see the fingerprint option in the settings. Should I maybe also try factory resetting my phone or is it probably because the new sensor I ordered is not compatible and I should try ordering a new one? Thanks in advance for your answer.

@@localgangsta I returned that incompatible flex cable and ordered a new one which was slightly more expensive and high quality. That solved my problem, fingerprint option came back.
