DirectX12 actually does perform more consistent, since its actually able to utilize your cpu more, while performance mode is limited to 4 cores with no hyper threading. It will not get you crazy high frames like 1300, but it also wont drop at all and will stay consistent trough the entire game. Use performance mode only if you have a low end pc with 4 cpu cores or less. But if you have something like an i5 12600k and a mid range card like a 3060ti, using DX12 will give you infinitely more stable experience than pf mode, only downside is the first 1 or 2 games which are going to stutter due to fortnite compiling shaders, but after that its smoth.

For some people with Nvidia graphics that are older (like 16xx or 10xx graphic cards) i have a tip If your graphic card have a error with Render Error (should be showed when Fortnite is being open.) and the newest drivers are causing a bsod (blue screen of death) then install the RECOMMENDED (by fortnite) drivers

if your getting more than 100 fps anti lag off maybe try out chill, limit to 144fps or lower if u cant get 144. try all low settings with epic textures on performance with a resolution lower than 1440x1080 anything lower tbh and if that dosnt work try dx12 tsr low performance with a low streach res.

In my opinion its not really any different. When windows 11 first came out people were complaining about performance issues but i have never noticed any, and if there were i am sure they got fixed with updates. Its up to you if you wanna use windows 10 or 11.
