Thanks, I didn't know about this method. What I usually did was to select Curves / then second dropper (grey) and started clicking in different areas, trying to achieve an acceptable result.

Oh yes! In those cases, colors are usually washed out and often, the only way to recover those is recoloring. And it can be done automatically, to an extent. I made a video about that recently here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJKTeGZ8e8qHpKc

I saw what you did with the two bottom sliders, but I didn’t get the science behind it. The explanation at 0:58 seems kinda hand wavy. Edit: After watching the video a few more times and paying close attention to the bottom sliders, I now believe that the top one shows the input/original colors in the image, while the bottom one shows the output/modified colors as a result of moving the top 3 sliders. So, the range that you adjusted does not modify the colors, it only determines what colors are being modified.
