This is a very informative lesson. However, I had to watch your first example numerous times to finally understand that it was NOT that the mountain was not there when you said it was missing, i.e. the mountain was clearly there, but there were patches of the mountain that had been made transparent by the selection much like the sky that might be peeking through some tree branches. All became clear (later that day) when I realized that it was "patches" in the mountain that had been interpreted as sky by the selection. Perhaps had I followed your suggestion and downloaded the images you were using instead of using my own images it would have been clearer sooner. Next time.............maybe. I really can't thank you enough for your drill-downs on the principles. It's something others seldom do, and for bottom-up learners like myself, the underlying principles are essential. Much respect for your efforts.

I edit photos for a friend who does light nudity, mostly swimsuit and underwear photos. Photoshop deems that as inappropriate. What's the point of having a powerful image editing tool if it treats you like you're a little kid? Someone should come up with a Photoshop-like program that doesn't have restrictions. This is stupid.

Love all your videos ....Photoshop is going to eveaporate itself with this AI features Most Artises are against AI ... so I don't follow the logic on them putting AI tools that can generate images ...if you go to X you see no one is happy about this....how do you know they are not stealing images from their users? how do I know they are not mixing my work and others, IM so canceling my subscribsion Fuck Adobe

Thank you!!! I needed to find that jpg. It took so long to create! One thing--on a Mac, I was only able to find the "File Handling" under "Settings" under "Photoshop". There was not a Preferences selection in the drop down. It was "Settings". Thanks so much! Photoshop/Settings/File Handling/Recent File List Contains

OT sort of, is there a way to remove artifacts if you only have an older version of PS. I have CS6, and it suit me fine for what I normally need. I was messing with a photo today that had this issue so I thought I'd try to find a solution. You are usually my go to guy for PS problems. Thanks!
