swapped a 2 bbl to a 4 bbl Holley and my TV cable is too short. Now i'll have to get a longer one. It's on a 70 Impala and I'm afraid I'm going to mess up my trans. I bought the same chrome bracket. works fine for acc, but not TV cable

Hey it looks as if the cables don’t come straight ahead to bracket, slightly curved it seems. That’s what I’m dealing with just wondering if it’s ok

I had to cut weld exstend bracket to for like it should its tci bracket

I always find it odd that aftermarket brackets never seem to get the RIGIDITY that is designed into OEM units. I haven't found ONE of these chromed or stainless brackets that are up to the task of this VERY IMPORTANT cable setting.

Will that bracket work in a edelbrock 1406 carb?

It should. The 1400 series are 99% copies of the Carter AFB.

Yes, but not to fit the carb, rather to allow for the vacuum line to the power brake boster. If you do it this way make sure to use a lockwasher, double-nut or something that won't let the bracket move as it will no longer have 2 anchor points.

hey there, i have a 700r4 in a 92 camaro, my TV cable came with it, TPI engine but i sweaped to carbed, now my TV cable was way to long, with out it on, or very lose it shifted normally, but terrible acceleration, now, when i took up the slack in the TV cable it shifts very hard and late as hell, and it didnt pull any clicks out of the ajuster i just took up the slack. any advice?

too much tension on TV cable. watch a few other videos on adjusting the TV cable. the ratcheting adjuster you're mentioning is the fine adjustment and the slack you took up will be the bulk adjustment. Make sure you watch videos you will burn up you're transmission like I did because mine had too much slack and the geometry was off.

@@PardeepSingh-qt2fk thanks for your reply, turns out there is roughly 6 tv cable lengths, depending if the car came with a carb, tbi, tpi, v6 etc. It ordered a cable for a model year of my car that came with a v8 carb stock, as thats the swap i did and it works good now, came out a couple clicks, good tension etc. Thanks!. If anyone has my problem chrck out theirdgencamaros forums on tv cables and lengths, they are not all the same, and one size doesnt fit all

Hi I have a tri power set up out of a 60 impala in my car. With 700r4 .how do you know if you got the right bracket for it. Any ideas .do they even make some for that. Thanks

The one on top of the box is a Holley Street Avenger 670CFM (Basically a 4150). The one on the manifold is a Carter AFB 625 (9635SA). Both have electric choke and emissions provisions.

700r4 is not the same as 4l60

Sorry but they are. You might be thinking of the 4l60E which is the electronically controlled version. GM just changed the name.

Tranny works fine, it's the burned valve on #7 cylinder that's the problem now...lol

Check your throttle cable for stretch.Mine had a 1/4" play. Had to make a bushing for a temp fix. Adjusting the TV cable at the carb is not the right way.Go by the pedal to the floor for adjustment. Just saying....

Normally yes you are right. But using the pedal wasn't getting me anywhere. If it's a stock setup then the pedal would be enough to get it. This wasn't stock
