FIX IT FRIDAY: DOWNY MILDEW (Not to be confused with powdery mildew)

Downy Mildew is a fungus-like organism that lives in the water that can sit on your leaves and under. It is NOT the same as powdery mildew although they are similar in name. In this quick video, I just want to explain how I treated and got rid of the Downy Mildew that infected my squash and Zucchini.
I'm not a master gardener. I have success and I have failures. But I love to learn and I love to share with others. Hello! Thanks for the great video! I have 2 coleus indoor plants that recently got downy mildew and I pruned all the bad leaves. I'm also worried that it may have spread to other plants in my house or garden. How do I make the fungicide and can I use it on my healthy plants also as a preventative measure? And which is better, the neem oil or peroxide? Thanks.

I would test spray the peroxide solution first. Neem can be very powerful, I use it as a last resort. But then again I use it outside and I fear for pollinators. Indoors, you don't have that issue. So test spray whatever you use, and use in moderation!

Great question! Spraying with 2.5 Tablespoons per gallon of water every 7 to 14 days is recommended. Make sure to remove any infected leaves and get rid of them.

@@evosbudi6934 the leaves that have disease should not go into your compost. It could spread disease throughout the compost
