Hey brother! I connected my rokit 8 RPG2 speakers ro a new computer and one blew a fuse, keeps blowing fuses. Opened and I see a big bulging cap, black crap, etc... I was hoping you might have a circuit digram and parts list to start cleaning this up... would make it much faster and less random of a process, I figure I will open both speakers and replace equally so things hopefully remain balanced. Also curious about upgrade potential, it looks like a surprising simple and cheap Amp, these definitely aren't military grade components, most look very general use, not even specialty audio caps... still, must be a good circuit, speakers and cabinet cause it does sound great... or did, lol. Any help appreciated. Recommended replacements would really help, recommended parts even more.

If you live in the US, you might have a chance to get the units repaired by Gibson/KRK. If not consider selling for peanuts or give them away to someone who has the time, knowledge to tinker with them. I was able to remove the black gunk that plagues these units as they age. Just today, I completed replacing almost all the component parts and I will fire up the units tomorrow. Tedious, but doable.

I have another problem. As soon as I turn it on it feels good. After 10 seconds the volume lowers itself to minimum and never returns. if I turn the speaker off and on, the volume returns for 10 seconds then goes away. Does anyone know how to help me? I reversed the components with the working speaker and the problem is on the AMP board. It's on sale?
