Thanks, it totally worked! For anyone interested - it is important to stick the blade under the glue of the pads, so as not to separate the two layers that the pads themselves consist of.

Thanks! The repair worked for me. You asked how people use this thumb button - I set it to simulate the keystroke 'ENTER'. It works nicely when the other programmable buttons are set to Cut / Copy / Paste. After pasting something (mouse) into an app or web page, it's easier to hit the thumb button rather than finding the OK Button on the screen.

This is amazing and worked wonderfully! If you're like me and you pried open the casing too fast, undoing the connection of the cable to the other part of the case, it's pretty easy to fix. Carefully line up the pins of the strip into the opening on the board, and there should be a white clamp that seals it in place when you place it in all the way, just close that and it should be repaired.

Thanks so much - I had the same problem and 3 minutes saved me a lot of frustration and money for a new mouse! My thumb button was giving me a hard time before the mouse stopped working as the default action was somehow triggered all the time - I was able to solve that problem by setting the actin to none for that button. I had similar trouble. Did not even know that button existed, after about 7 years of usage. Unmapped it but it was still buggy. This solution did however not work for me, since it seems to be some physical error with that button in my mouse. So I just cut the wire to it (since i've never used it anyway) and now my mouse seems to work properly again. :) Thanks for great video.

Thanks a lot! If you don't use the thumb button, and are tired of fixing it every couple months, you can unscrew the little green board (don't cut the white cable just in case you want to use it in the future), then remove the thumb button mechanism (is right below the board, with silver screws). Little green board is loose but that won't be a problem. A fixed mouse cursor won't be either!

THANK YOU! Very happy to not be dropping the money for a new one of these. For anyone in the same situation, bizarrely just unscrewing and separating the mouse top and bottom portions fixed the problem for me. Assume there must have been pressure on the thumb button which was relieved. Also when taking off the pads on the base of the mouse make sure you remove the smooth laminate layer AND the adhesive layer at the same time. I am an idiot and on one end of a side pad managed to get my knife between the layers which then needed superglue to fix it down once finished. Not a big deal and didnt spoil the finish but wouldve been better not to do that!
@Anothy2 жыл бұрын
You don't even have to open the mouse to fix the problem! What I did was just kind of bend the thumb button a bit to sort of loosen it. And then disabled the thumb button through the Logitech Options app. If you actually use the thumb button, you'll have to open it unfortunately. I personally stopped using it; it takes too much force to press it. Thank you for the video, I would never have guessed it was the thumb button that was causing the cursor lock.
