Dude you saved me, method 2 worked for me. bought a samsung led tv coz it's cheap. didn't bother trying the ports coz the tv is working. got home then tried to test it out with my ps4 and not working, search solutions and your vid 1st to pop out. after method 2 it's good to go. thanks alot man.

My Wii works via a dvd player but screen blank when plugged directly into samsung tv HDMI port. HDMI port is ok with the "Wii U" though!! Why does samsung not like Wii?

Great video... I have a TV that was built to be a part of a DC solar off-grid system. Its power cable are two one for 12DC but the other looks like earpiece pin connector. Tv shows no connection for everything you connect... AV, HDMI, USB ETC. I bridge the second port but same thing. Any idea?

So my problem is not hardware because I can connect a DVD player to my big screen TV via a HDMI cable and it works fine but as soon as I try to do that with my laptop it does not work and says there's no signal. Any idea why?

That's may be because your TV's panel has a problem with one of the 'cof ic' .....most probably it's dead and your TV is not able to display the highest resolution (if it's full hd then 1080p)....try lowering your laptop's resolution to 720p and connect it to the TV if it works then for sure your TV's panel is damage.
