God this video saved me. I was going bonkers trying to get my Hisense tv to work with the soundbar again!

I bought a 4 port Hdmi switcher since I only have 3 ports on the TV. 1 is for Bluray, 1 is for the Cable box and 1 I am using for the multi port switcher for a Fire stick and also a Chromecast. The TV will not accept the settings and just set the Firestick and or Chromecast into its TV port designation. Then I lose out on the Cable box input. I've tried all the cord changing. Unplugging power. Had some success with the Firestick at port on the multi port switcher and Cable box also on one of the ports. The Chromecast then would not work. Then it just designated the Firestick and Chromecast to the Televisions two ports and not even designating the incoming Cable box to a port. But then none worked from the one port that has the multi port attached. I had no problem doing this for my friends on a much older. Is my last option to do a reset? Update. I just put the chromcast on the 3rd hdmi on tv. I then put the bluray dvd player cord on the switcher. That works with the firestick. It does not conflict with the Hisense inner programming. I did not do a total reset of the Hisense TV. I was worried that it would open up more problems.

excellent work, I have some problems with the image and the resolution of this particular hisense 55E7KQ pro TV, when I put movies on any application of the TV, netflix, apple tv, disney, prime video, it cuts the image up and down to a smaller one while I have 16:9 and it plays them in a low resolution and not in 4k, what should I do, can I choose the resolution from the TV settings and change it? Thank you very much.

I don't have a weak signal problem but my TV keep on coming back to the home page and doesn't stay on any HDMI input. I have brand new HDMI cable. I have the same problem for the 3 hdmi input with my laptop and my tvstick. I unplug the TV power cable, it's gonna work for about an hour but the problem keep on coming back.

Seems like you’ve tried a bunch of stuff already. If it’s all the HDMI ports acting up, maybe the issue’s with the TV’s software or the HDMI handling itself. Have you tried a factory reset yet? Sometimes that clears up weird bugs. If that doesn't sort it out, it might be time to check in with Hisense support.

Plain and simple pc / mac aren't meant to be used though HDMI tv,s , display port needed, comments are usually more helpful than video on here , always read and be careful!

Don’t mean to be a hater but 90% of this is pretty redundant minus the arc setting if you are troubleshooting a sound bar. For most of us I think the problem is Hisense went with cheaper ports. I have to hold mine just right otherwise it just flashes on and off from weak signal. First HDMI 4 now 3 is doing it as well. Soon I’ll be reduced to 60 hz 🫠

Oh man, I feel your pain with the HDMI troubles! It sounds super annoying to deal with. 😩 You might be onto something about the cheaper ports. Have you tried switching out the cable or maybe using a bit of contact cleaner? Sometimes those small tweaks can make a big difference. And yeah, keeping it at 60hz is definitely not ideal.

Plain and simple tv,s aren't meant to be used as a PC/ Mac monitor mine worked fine at 1st and then it messed up fixed itself, now it just won't display at all , cheaper tv ,but yeah there crap, these trouble shooting step are common sense for most PC users, don't factory reset it , won't help , but I already know not to even to , some KZbin videos just shouldn't be allowed, the comments are what are usually more helpful

I've tried everything, multiple times. TV finds sound system and DVD player, but will not accept the laptop. I used this laptop with the last TV that got lost to a lightning strike. Now I'm wondering if the laptop has an issue with its hdmi port. I don't have anything else here to test that with. But I can't think of anything else that could be the problem. Laptop knows when the TV is plugged in, but just not sending info to the TV.

If the laptop detects the TV but isn’t sending video, it might still be a settings issue. Sometimes, you gotta manually select the TV as the primary display or duplicate the screens through your laptop's display settings. Also, double-check the HDMI cable itself-could be it’s not sitting right in the port or it’s kinda faulty. If that doesn't do the trick, might be worth it to borrow another HDMI device or cable to test if the laptop’s port is the real troublemaker.

How stupid are these tips? Why is the word Hisense in a guide where the cables, and dust are at fault? That would be an all manufacturer problem. If the tips aren't for Hisense then don't waste our time with them.
