Thank you heaps dude, I’m glad you covered both the options that are in that #5 safe mode category. This seems to have solved my issue for now and I don’t wanna jinx it but yeah, I was freezing on boot up and it kept giving the same system error message. First thing I did was stop using my extended storage because I felt like that was half the reason it kept shutting off, because it was restarting to repair that. I suppose I feel a bit better knowing this is a very common issue and it’s probably mostly because it’s still a new console I legit got my PS5 today and was playing AC Odyssey happily for hours until it froze then hard crashed

For me it’s freezing on the save screen of old ps4 games where when you play it on ps5, it uses the PS5 inbuilt system save screen (like a black pop up thing) rather than the games own save screen like when you play on ps4

Call of the Mountain was crashing several times in the middle of the game with the PSVR2 headset on. I'll try your tips and hopefully will resolve the crashing issue. Another possibility is to clear the dust on the filter within the PS5 console that might be interfering with the cooling.

The proper thing to do is to turn it off after use and when you don't plan to use it after a while. Leaving it on rest mode everytime isn't a very good option. Only leave it on restmode if you have to do something really quick or if you want to download games faster.

(I don't really wanna turn it back on in case of any worst case scenario such as bricking the console!) I have seen a lot of people having that issue. Now I have gotten 1 crash while playing ratchet and clank PS4. Now that had only happened once and also I haven't had any crashes or problems with any other games. Besides crahses I do have one issue, when I play Fortnite I have a loud but quiet buzzing noice, now I don't know if this is normal or not, the noice is weird and gets quieter and louder depending on the gameplay. Btw: the console is really quiet otherwise when playing games, i only have that weird noice in Fortnite. (I think the sound might be cool whine, not sure though.)

Ghosts of Tsushima PS4 version on internal ssd is green screen crashing every damn hour. Even on a new save file. Hadn’t had a green screen crash in months of hardcore playing. So frustrating so I’ll try your tip Update- Rage2 has now joined the list along with Blops3 in games that crash every half hour. It’s just these particular titles, every other game in my huge library is flawless(no crashes). Rebuilding database and clear cache don’t stop these problems. I think it’s bad hardware plus shitty drivers/clock speed from Sony + crap power supply

Everything worked but restoring license didn't, it was restoring like 10 minutes and then it failed and said something about DNS servers

You can sign in to PlayStation.com and restore them there also.

My ps5 console only crashes on the digital game's it turns off and I have to unplug it from the power point to start it back up.

That a internal ssd malfunction. You need to send it back to Sony under warranty.
