Thanks my man :) I got Windows Update error 0x80070643 and followed Microsofts official instructions on how to manually resize WinRE partition but when I was done the WinRE was deleted so I had to recover following your video and it works.

It was still disabled in the end, so I had to input this command before it worked: reagentc /setreimage /path C:\\Windows\\System32\\Recovery hope it helps

Fantastic video! So helpful! Incredible how much trouble Microsoft makes it to recreate a recovery parition. I would say that it would be great if you would add the unmount command to the text to get rid of the C:\mount directory afterwards.

This worked for me: run this command in the command prompt - 'dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\mount /discard'. After you run the command, it allows you to delete 'install.wim' and the mount folder

create windows 10 installation media, you need a usb flash drive with 8gb+. that's where he got that folder and you can find install.esd file there

@TrisonP thank you, i was finally able to delete it. the owner of the "C:\mount" folder was "Trusted Installer". I changed the owner to me (through a series of convoluted steps in the 'security tab' when you right-click properties on the folder) 😅. gonna try restarting my computer now just to be sure it wasn't dependent on that folder 🤞
