Oh wow i’ve never ran a rigid sim so complex that i’ve ever touched the iterations. I honestly forgot that setting existed! Maybe it explains a few minor bugs i run into here and there!! Thank you!

The iteration settings mostly affect the constraints. Most other issues happen due to there not being enough substeps. The older versions of blender the substeps were set in steps per second. Whereas the newer versions the substep settings set the number of steps per frame. The latter is by far better. The other major issue with rigid bodies acting weird is the type of rigid body object, as in if you are using convex hull, mesh, sphere, cylinder.. Mesh is very unstable. But there are a few instances where the mesh setting must be used, like when rigid body objects are placed inside a cup, bowl, box or object that is concave in shape.
