Any suspension components with bushings must be torqued at ride height, or the bushings will be strained causing a shorter bushing life and contributing to a harsher ride. The pro tip is to measure the distance from the center of the wheel or hub to the fender before lifting the car, and then using a jack under the suspension to raise the suspension without the wheel to that same measurement before torqueing down those bolts.

I never thought to measure the distance BEFORE lifting the car and will do that from now on. I typically use a pole jack (seen: @10:12) to push up the suspension while the car is still on a lift. But I've always just eyeballed it as far as how aggressive to stuff that suspension back up into the wheel well.

Where can we buy the A-Arms? Will Tesla sell them direct to the consumer?

What does a job like that cost? My wife drives a Tesla and once the warranty is up we are looking at having that done. One of our children lives in Austin so when the time comes and the warranty is up we need to find a shop to handle any repairs. To date with 35k miles on it the only issue with tire wear which according to some was bad because we got close a little over 2yrs and 25k on the 1st set but on all 4 there was major inner tire wear so we just got an alignment.

When you re-installed the upper arm, you needed a spacer to put the perfect angle on it...
