Love the content as usual! I think scenario 1 would be my option because I want more experience for the GM and HC jobs. Love the free agent signings but I would try to add Tutu Atwell and maybe a Greg Dortch for more receiver depth. I would also target WR Tez Johnson and maybe a QB like Jaxson Dart or Kyle McCord. I just have a good feeling about those guys. But overall great job and I would love any of these moves for our team

In my opinion the Jets have to draft Mason Graham or if we let go of Devante Adams then draft Tetairoa McMillan who is by far the best WR in the draft. I’ve never seen a WR his height move the way he does, not comparing him to Megatron but he has the size of a Calvin Johnson but more shifty
@JetsTalk24711 сағат бұрын
He doesn’t have the bulk I’d love to see but he’s so fast and tall
@AStewSr3 сағат бұрын
He’s no Calvin Johnson and no Mike Evans. He’s faster than Evans but much lighter than Evans and that scares me at only 212 pounds and he’s basically a stick. Davante Adams is heavier than he is.. to me an interesting prospect is TCU WR Savion Williams.. 6’4, 230lbs 4.55 40yrd dash. Big powerful WR that you can lineup anywhere on the field, and he will win with power and speed and has great YAC.

We're missing out on the sauce and garrett wilson factors. I'm not sure if you can option more than one player, but you got to strongly consider them in the equation for 2025. Or you're going to allow them to walk for no reason. If you can option 1 guy, it's gotta be wilson. Negotiate with johnson during the season. Or extend wilson next year then option JJ. Sauce can be extended next year or tagged.

@AStewSr3 сағат бұрын
We have D line depth. We don’t have Oline depth, especially with the need to get rid of Max Mitchell.. This is why I’m iffy about Ryan’s mock draft. To me it’s more important to solidify the D line and draft DT Mason Graham, if he’s available. We should keep Davante Adams, we don’t need another WR, and being that he’s under contract it’s only smart to just keep him. So many jet fans were begging for him, we got him and now you don’t want him. He didn’t do anything wrong, he had a great season. First round pick we will have the option to finally add a piece to help QW out, or to finally add the finishing touch on our offensive line for the next five years. That should be the play. Nothing else should matter.
@williamamely70383 сағат бұрын

Ryan…. You set it yourself when the Jets had a pass rush the two cornerbacks that held down a potent Eagles offense, were Echols and Hall. So I don’t understand how you don’t realize how important getting to the quarterback is and stopping the run. DT Mason Graham and Quinnen Williams would be an unstoppable force of the middle. The double teams that they would force would keep the small but quick Quincy, Williams and Sherman clean to come up and stop the run. It also takes pressure off the defensive backs. Let’s be real Sauce Gardner ain’t what we thought he was. He is not a shut down CB, and needs as much help as possible. With Anderson and Johnson speed causing hell for Left and Right Tackles our CB will not need to cover for more 5 seconds… AND THAT WINS GAMES.

Ryan penalties didn’t kill this team this year the lack of a defensive line being able to stop the run or get to the quarterback, killed us. It put us in a bind because we couldn’t stop the other team from scoring. That forced us to have to pass which allowed their defense to just go ham on the pass rush. With an aging QB coming off of Achilles injury who could not run, it was a recipe for disaster. Add in the fact that we had all online injuries and we get the season we had. We have to fix the Dline.. no matter what you think that has to be to play. We stopped the other team’s offense. We stay in the game. The devil is in the details and we lost by more than a few points because we couldn’t stop the run.
@kinghoops420217 сағат бұрын

@AStewSr3 сағат бұрын
Yeah, but again like we always see, quarterbacks cannot throw from their ass. This team still has an offensive line problem. Any quarterback you put behind it is going to get hurt.. Aaron Rodgers got hurt last season also. Not to mention, you don’t have a quarterback who can throw to these guys.. lastly the defensive line means we can’t stop the run or the pass. That means teams get to run up the score on us and force us into position where we have to pass constantly., and we still don’t have an offensive line that can block effectively for our quarterbacks. Not to mention no offensive line could stand up to good pass rushes over and over and over again. The plan for us should be to FINALLY FIX the Dline OR FIX the Oline. We have enough weapons as it is if we keep Devonte Adams, plus there are a lot of pass catching TE’s and big WR in this class Gadsden from Syracuse and Williams from TCU come to mind.

I hope he doesn’t. We need defensive tackle Mason Graham.. put him next to QW and you have the makings of the next New York Jets sack exchange. With Anderson and Johnsohn on the outside, Graham and QW on the inside. Now you have a defensive line that teams have to respect you won’t have a quarterback like Richardson running all over us like he did in the Colts game where they lost a punter and had numerous fourth down conversions on running plays, because they’re OC didn’t respect our defensive line at all. It was fucking embarrassing.
@oscartmic26 минут бұрын
You realize hiring first time coordinators is a 50 50 gamble.
@AStewSr4 сағат бұрын
I don’t necessarily hate your draft, but I do disagree with you on a few things. We need to keep Davante Adams! Between him and Rodgers it would be too big of cap hit . We already have a great WR in Wilson. Having another #1 WR in Davante Adams, guarantees us at least two wins, no matter who the QB is, plus the worse comes the worse you could trade him at the trade deadline for some draft capital. Having Adams means we don’t have to use our first round pick for a WR, when we have much bigger needs. Ryan, DT Mason Graham, has to be the player we take @ #7! We really have three options, if one is gone, we should have the option of the other two . Those three players are in this order, DT Mason Graham, OT Kelvin Banks Jr & OT Will Campbell. We have not picked a defensive lineman in the first round in the last six years and it has shown with the way our defense played this year. We have to fix this Dline, and getting a cheap all pro prospect like Mason Graham will change this defense and that’s worth four to six wins for this team. Plus, Mason is a guarantee, in case Williams gets hurt. Taking one of the other two tackles would just completely fix this offensive line once and for all for whoever is the quarterback in 2025 and beyond. Those two are the top two OT prospects, because they are both great pass protectors and road maulers in the run game. I’m tired of this offensive line merry-go-round we have had since 2013, it’s time to fix this line once and for all. I understand your desire for more offense, but if we can’t get the ball to our playmakers because our QB is on his ass, it doesn’t matter and we’ve seen this for the last 15 years where the NYJs are concerned. We saw it in the Chargers vs Vikings playoff game. The successful blueprint has already been written, so why change it? The New York Jets have gotten away from what made us great. It’s football 101 fix the offensive line and the defensive line so you can get to the quarterback, stop the run, protect the quarterback, open lanes for the running back. Football is easy we make it difficult. LA’s Dline dominated and Minnesota’s Oline was crushed. I knew you were gonna do something crazy 😮😮😮 with the draft and take a damn WR with the first pick, when it’s the Dline that was in complete disarray and we couldn’t stop the run to save our lives. To me the better option is TCU WR Savion Williams, 6’4, 235lbs, 4.55 40yrd dash. With very good hands and makes amazing acrobatic catches, he’s a player that should be there for us when we pick in the 2nd rd. I’m all for moving back up into round 2 or 3 and grabbing either an OT if we get Graham in the first round, or the DT you mentioned if we get OT Banks or Campbell in the 1st rd. This is adraft class that is deep in TE’s so we could get it tighten in the fourth round.. if not, we should have enough fire power between GW, DA, MC, JR, BH to win some games. Obviously you were too young to see the NYJs of the 1980s if you were able to watch the Vikings versus the Chargers, what you saw was what the 1980 jets used to do. Our defense won us games because they dominated the Line scrimmage and they got to the QB, hence the title “ New York SACK EXCHANGE”!

You’re blaming the HC and the QB coach for the bad player of the offensive line? Or maybe it was the exceptional play of the charges defensive line. Hiring McCarthy in 2019 was the easy, no-brainer, layup, fish in a barrel, can of corn, easy as pie move to make. Experienced coach with a decent staff ready to go, comfortable with working with young QB's and a good track record. Chris Johnson hired a homeless, Adderall addled lunatic who had just been fired that acted like he was tweaking at his intro presser instead. Had the Jets hired McCarthy, stuck with Darnold, and used those 2020-2021 picks on actual Football Players, the Jets would probably be a middle of the pack occasional contender with a 27-year-old top 15 QB (much like 2002 - 2008ish) that was built in a sane and reasonable manner instead of the absolutely broken, toxic, absurdist organization it has become since the day Adam Gase was hired. But now? I don't know. Maybe a "Steady Eddie" type is what they need. I don't love ANY of the Coaches they've brought in at this point (Vrable is gone, Flores is a psycho instigator, and AG - who fills out his staff?). Most of the rest of them are meh. But of course, after showing up with a portfolio of a SB win, years of head coaching experience, a plan for growth and development of Darnold, and a staff ready to roll and a "Great" interview... only to see the Jets hire Gase instead, if I was McCarthy I wouldn't even agree to interview with the Jets.
