Woody Johnson hired the 33rd Team to "cast a wide net" only to end up with the guy that was the betting favorite to be the next head coach anyway. Woody has hired exclusively defensive-minded head coaches (outside of Adam Gase) and it hasn't worked. Why go back to the well again? I would have preferred Josh McCown or Joe Brady of the candiddates the Jets spoke to

This feels like McCaggnan and Bowles all over again. I like A Glenn as a former jet and always rooted for him as a coach but i never watched a Lion game and said "man that is a good D, ever". Will the Jets ever hire that young offensive coach, just once, EVER!

Sure he was there for over two decades, but he started very low on the totem pole, and the Lions turnaround directly coincided with Newmarks promotion within the front office. Plus, he was a part of not only the Lions turnaround, but the Commanders going from worst to first. That’s NOT nothing! 😉

No, because Dan Quinn cowboy defense gave up almost 50 point to the packers in the playoffs last year, and now he’s in the championship game as a head coach a year later. We’re not hiring Glenn to be the defensive coordinator but to be a leader of men.

The Jets problems have been tied to bad coaching for a long time. If they had chosen the right one instead of Saleh, they would have been in the playoffs already. Baffling in-game decisions, inability to make logical adjustments, the proliferation of insane penalties and lack of discipline were evident right from his 1st year. When your team stinks, you don't send them home to enjoy themselves during the bye week. No consequences equals poor results.

My take is VERY SIMPLE… The NFL wants Taylor Swift, and her SWIFTIES in the Super Bowl. The two bullshit calls I seen for Patrick Mahomes, especially on that fucking slide, and all the holding that took place by Kansas City, has me sick to my stomach, and I’m a New York Jets fan. The bills have to go into Kansas City and not just play against the Chiefs but the NFL and the NFL referees this shit is ridiculous. In two other games that quarterbacks ran past the line of scrimmage, we saw the same exact slide and hits on Lamar Jackson, and Allen, yet they were no calls. I don’t care what anybody says # 91 of the bills intentionally put a late hit on Lamar out of bounds and was not flagged for that. I’m tired of the fucking referees being differential to Patrick Mahomes and the offensive line of the Chiefs.

@ i’m not being salty. I’m just being honest the NFL protects Mahomes.. The NFL is invested in making sure they get the highest rating for the Super Bowl.. Taylor Swift has millions of fans and followers. Those three things I just said are facts. How else can you explain the bullshit call for roughing the passer when Mahomes flopped. How else can you explain a personal foul penalty on a sliding Mahomes when everybody knows once he takes off he’s not a QB anymore, he’s a fucking RB. Running backs get hit like that all the time with no penalty called. My case in point Lamar Jackson was hit and tackled when he obviously running out of bounds. HOWEVER, No call!!! Lamar Jackson ran and slid and 2 defenders hit themselves landed on top of him .. result.. NO CALL. It was the same exact way that the two defensive players hit Mahomes but Mahomes gets the call. So I’m not salty about that. If I am salty it’s because the absurdity of the NFL to have 2 standards for QBs. if you’re gonna be fucking referees don’t involve yourself in the fucking game and change shit when you don’t have intentions of doing that for everybody, every team, everywhere. Not to mention all the fucking holding that the Kansas City DBs and Oline employ that never gets called. If Kansas City is as good as you say, they are then why do they need to have referees assist them? Why didn’t they let that game be as physical as the other three playoff games that I watched. Why were they so protective of Mahomes that he couldn’t be fucking touched while they allowed Kielce to push off defenders in the end zone. If they’re gonna let the teams be physical, then let them fucking be physical.. but you can’t get physical with them because they act like little bitches. Mahomes Flops on the fucking floor like he’s a prostitute about to take dick up the ass. But since you said I being salty, fuck Kansas City and f u. Can’t wait for you guys to lose.

Ryan…Why would you even ask that question? The commanders forced five turnovers four of them on QB Jared Geoff, three of which led to scores. That didn’t have anything to do with the defense of the Lions, if anything that’s on the OC and QB. Glenn should be the choice for the Jets hands-down no questions asked. He was a player and he already has a lot of respect around the league. He has a lot of connections around the league, players wanna play for him and maybe we’ll be able to get a couple of good DB’s that will come to New York.

@@Realisticjetsfan747 you need to tell me your age because theNYJs of the 1980s and early 2000s were teams to be feared. I know that we could be great again with the right players and the right coach. Every team needs a QB.. what you see now is that bad teams or smart teams build as much as they can through the draft and yes, they’re still gonna have terrible records, but they either get very lucky and a QB falls of them or they have a bad year like the Indianapolis Colts did and get an Andrew Luck, which changes the dynamics and trajectory of a franchise completely. Teams like the Washington commanders, Detroit Lions, etc…etc.. build their entire team out from Oline to Dline then skill positions. They get a complete framework built and then hope to fall into a good quarterback, the New York Jets of 2008, 09,10 was that team. They built a framework of great players and made the average quarterback look like a superstar for two seasons.

My 24 QB Rankings JJ, Daniels, Maye, Penix , Caleb. Daniels was a lock for a 15 year franchise QB if he adds 15lbs . Jets need to draft a QB in 26 that draft has lots of QB's

Not even a little bit worried. The Lions finished 7th in points allowed to end the year with a depleted defense that lost 10+ guys to IR throughout the season, which includes multiple keystone starters, and their best pass rusher. The fact that they still did well defensively week in and week out is a testament to the abilities of the staff to get the absolute best out of the next guy up. Not to mention, Jayden Daniels has been torching defenses all year. He put up 36 against the Eagles back in December, which is arguably the best defense all around this year. So, no, not at all worried. He’s the obvious #1 option for me.
