@@nadiaanacleto I had simillar problems but with Tv, the problem was caused through the Tv's Dolby enhaced sound. I had the TV plugged in with the optical cable. So the only thing I can tell u is to try to set off any surround sound from ur monitor (if u plugged it in to it)

They had the update where you can select the ps5 with the wheel but the ps5 setting doesn't give any sound with the optical cable. Why? The sound overall, even just using the usb cable just sounds better in ps4 mode instead of ps5. Is the "ps5" name just for show?

Can you help me out? I already use a splitter that splits my PS5 to my monitor and Oled TV. I can basically play on Both at the same time, but I do this so I don't need to swap cables everytime. My extractor does not allow 4k 60 or HDR. It's a jtech, and I tried Orei. They both work for Xbox series X.. But neither work with Ps5.. not sure why.

I'm having issues with no game audio getting through to my capture card I've tried everything and I do have a hdmi extractor so I can utilise the optical. Can anyone help. My ps5 will not detect my arctis pro wireless!! Tried all the usb ports, Only way i can get it to work is via optical connection through TV but then i cant use the Mic. Steelseries are next to no help and all they suggest is update the firmware. :-(

Great video dude, very helpful! Just one question. My transmitter has the latest firmware (with the PS5 source) and the volume limiter is off but the audio volume is substantially low vs on my PC. The only way I seem to get higher volume is putting all eq setting to max but the sound is terrible. RE Village is the main reason I bought the Pro's but the low volume really messes the game immersion. Do you know if this fix increases the audio volume while maintaining the amazing Pro's sound quality? Thanks!

Go into the settings on the mixamp and you can turn off volume limiter. Also make sure ps5 audio in the settings is max on the headset or it will be capped

Thanks for this video that I just discovered. Weird fact : the configuration you describe doesn't work for me. Maybe because of a new firmware of the Artist Pro and/or the PS5. Arctic now have PS5 source but we must not use it because every options are locked to USB (awful sound as you said). So stay in PS4 source. On PS5, when choosing the Arctis as audio output, the HDMI type setting is greyed out. I had to switch the audio output to "HDMI peripheral" to be able to choose the HDMI type to "Amplifier". And then, when audio format is set to "Dolby", the surround sound is crazy: sounds are not coming from the correct direction. When switching to "PCM", sound and directions are just perfect, just like they were on PS4. Someone noticed that? For information I am not a newbie with surround audio headset reviews, so don't be too hard on me ;)

I've not had any audio lag at all, no issues for me with the combo of the headset, ps5 and the adapter. When it comes to the output device, the optical audio goes through the adapter so the output device needs to be set to the headset (which the headsets hub is connected to). Hope that helps!

@@foxtechh I think my audio lag is the result of it going through the tv’s audio out port. I’m gonna get an extractor and see if that helps. Also the tv is limited to 5.1 down the audio port so I needed to select 5.1 in the settings to make things go down the right channel I’m using the lucidsound ls41’s and they’re 7.1. But when I switch to lpcm it disables the surround sound options. I think it’s a bandwidth issue, the lpcm is uncompressed and probably can’t be sent wirelessly so it has to default to stereo in that case, or else use Dolby Regarding the output device when I test it they seem to be the same for me. I would have assumed that if you selected the headset, it would try to send the signal through the usb connection to the usb hub, or if you select hdmi output then it would send it to the hdmi device (tv or the extractor) and then down the optical cable back to the dongle and headset. Maybe it always sends the audio signal down the hdmi and therefore it doesn’t really matter which one because in either case the usb dongle is getting an optical signal it can use. But it seems odd

Thanks! Love a cheeky 1v3 lol well optical audio is better than the 3D sound on the PS5. I used the 3D pulse too with the 3D sound which they're made for and they weren't toooo bad but honestly if your headset was built for optical audio and is meant to be set up that way, it's so much better doing it the optical audio route. My Arctis Pro Wireless are awesome again thanks to this. Hope it helps

The only solution I have seen is using this trick VIA audio extractor but using that method I can’t use my mic on the PS5 plus it’s an extra cost… so I was thinking of getting another transmitter? No I have lg oled 77 inch c1 connect it to the back of the tv we have that opital port

Hi, I follow-up your instruction with the same extractor, but when I choose chat audio it goes automaticly to my speakers and not my headset, help :-) Sorry the settings are on ps5, now it is working on ps4. Strange:-). Thanks!

@@foxtechh do you know when I put it on chat audio I hear and my headphones and the audio boxes? When I choose all audio the boxes are off? I have the pro wireless steelseries also.

Hiii. I have a question. I did this steps but directly from my tv. Hdmi from ps5 to my Oled Cx. Than optical cable from my Cx to the gamedac. I tested with the game the last of us part 2 and was working perfectly with 5.1. The only problem is that the voice of the characters is weard, just like they are on a tunnel. This happens when the surround sound on gamedac is activated. When I desactivate the surround sound, the voices sounds perfectly. Could you share if this happens with you? If I desactivate the surrounf sound from the gamedac, will I loose the 5.1 from the headset? Thankksssss

So I have a Sony xh900 which has hdmi 2.1. is this product any use ? I have the Atticus 7p

Isn't 7p is made for the PS5 so doesn't even have optical does it? So might not even work with the headset to be honest.

I bought this device. Done as you said. However, on the sound settings. AV amplifier is only limited to 2 channels. Is this anything to do with my TV as I'm waiting on a monitor? I have the exactly same headset and Audio extractor.

For some reason im unable to select the HDMI Devive Type, its greyed out. I have the wired Arctis Pro with the GameDac.

Arctis pro with the adapter through the optical cable gives the best sound without 3d audio

The Arctic Wireless Pro works with USB on the PS5 no? Or do I something completely stupid and have I being losing out quality since I switched to the PS5 from the PS4 Pro.
