If the menu isn't showing up, make sure there isn't a disc in the tray. Chances are that is where the corruption is happening. I wasn't allowed to get to the menu but once I ejected my disc it let me go in and reset to factory defaults.

3 years after you posted this video and it saved me of buying a new power brick (after watching a lot of videos) or buying a new console! THANKS A LOT!! It is kind of tricky to connect the controller once in the set up screen but nothing impossible! I reseted the console completely and it worked!

An easy fix is to restore to factory defaults but keep games and apps, it'll fix your Xbox for a few weeks. Been doing this until my Xbox actually dies on me

To anyone reading this, I need help. Today on 10th March 2020, I was playing Fifa 20 (Disc), while downloading FortNite. But then all of a sudden the xbox one "store experience host" needs to update. So it automatically stops the FortNite Installation Process to download or Update the "store experience host", but that host is stuck at 0%. Is it the all digital version? If so you can do by just holding the bind button below the Xbox Logo on the console. Sorry this version of the console didn’t exist when I did it but it works the same. Let me know if that works.

For me it does not work. Always when I start the Xbox it starts updating from about 75 % to 89 % in step 3 of the update process, stays there for long and then fails. When I try to reset it, after the reset it does the exact same thing. Once it managed to finish, but it did not recognize the controller. After rebooting it, it started the update again. Doing an offline system update fails also.

I had like 3 xbox 360 (they were all gifted by family members that no longer needed them) they all died because of the three red lights. When I was deciding between a PS4 and an Xbox One I chose Xbox just because of Halo, and when Halo 4 came out I didn’t even like it. While PS4 has Spiderman and The Last of Us. Then when I was trying to play The Witcher 3 for a second time an error screen appeared, and to fix it I was supposed to delete all my witcher 3 files and install it all over again. And now this stupid thing happens and the solution is to do some weird thing with an usb and a windows laptop, download a program and maybe even delete all my files??? I might try this, but this was the last chance I gave to Xbox, I will never buy again any of their products, they are a complete waste of money, I will try with Nintendo or Sony and hope they actually car for their clients and not just about the money. Maybe they will release a good product and not rush its development just to get more money. I know they won’t care about just me, but I am sure that many more are fed up with Xbox.

Also check and make sure it's not trying to connect to any Wi-Fi or hotspot in my case I simply turned off my hotspot on phone that I'd previously used and it started right on up on up Right on it started. On up

Possibly the power supply? It boots to a green screen normally. If it's shutting off quickly maybe try a different power outlet or strip. Do you see anything else happen?

Mine won't even go that far. I've had everything unplugged from the console then I would reconnect everything. After that I would press the buttons in the exact same sequence and hold. Didnt matter how long I held I wouldn't hear a second startup tone. The my tv would display a black and and then eventually a green screen.

When you do the eject and sync you don’t have to hold the power button, I know you’re not I think but just making sure. Start holding them when it’s off. Press the power once without holding it and keep holding the other two buttons until the second beep. I can double check and make sure that’s accurate still. I believe it is. Let me know.

Didn't turn on, but, I did: Hold down the 2 buttons and also press start button (Didn't hold start button) it beeped and 2secs later, beeped again and that screen came up. Turned itself off and on again, about 60% into step 3, then froze at 86%??? After several fails, turn off, remove USB, turn your modem back on. Then turn on Xbox by holding down buttons (as vid says) and press start, wait for second beep. Then select Factory reset-keep games & apps- step 3 came back but was pretty again and finished updating👍 You then have to complete the set-up steps, but after selecting country, entering Wi-Fi password and your xbox password, it will load and give you back your Xbox 🤗😁🎉
