Neither. Since after rebooting it gives you an option to restore by erasing the entire Xbox or only erasing setting/profile but keeping all games in memory

To be honest I never had this issue at all and that's because I always make sure my OG Xbox One is up to date And it's on energy saving mode so that way it doesn't use up any RAM at all🤦‍♂️ It's clear to me people who have this green screen of death issue seriously don't know how to take care of their console🤦‍♂️ I've had my OG Xbox One since 2014 and it still works like it's brand new 😍 And I still play the latest games like cyberpunk 2077 Plus I have over 300 games installed😍

Didn’t work at first, 3rd or 5th try. Then I unplugged everything into the Xbox and everything into the tv and changed the usb port into tv. After a few more attempts and waiting longer for the 2nd 3rd beeps it eventually did work. Unplug everything, change port, spam the troubleshoot startup and wait longer. You’ll get the troubleshoot screen. I then selected “continue” and upgraded the resolution to 1080. It’s working fine now.

I’ve had a series x for a while now but I used my old one x downstairs for the big screen for movies and all that stuff but recently it just refuses to work. It sits on a black screen for like 5 minutes and then does the regular start up and then just sits on the green start up screen for ever. I have a question. My XBOX One S had the Green Screen thingy, where its bootscreen keeps on going. I downloaded the OSU1-Archive and copied the contained folder onto a NTFS-USB-Drive, plugged it in and tried your method. ok so first thing is un plug the power cord for the 30 seconds. plug it in and make sure your xbox is shut off. not making noise. then press the two first buttons at the same time. after that press the power button. finally wait till the second beep. if you dont hear it after 3 seconds then let go of all the buttons and it should transfer you to the trouble shoot category. whats what mine did, what you said and i did this and it worked

Just adding this in case it helps someone . It might not be the Xbox if you are on a UHD tv ! I have got stuck on a green screen on two different Xbox one's connected to two different TVs . I tried all the fixes but ended up being the tv needed restarted . Easy way to figure it out is switch to a different input and see if you have a picture . Not sure why it sticks at green but it does .

Guys this is a little tip try and restart your Xbox and save every game your going to need to sign back in like you got a new Xbox and when your gonna play your Xbox will freeze then everything will be normal and all your games will sync

And this is why PlayStation is better than Xbox if PlayStation has an issue we can go into safe mode and rebuild the database and install the latest update without using a usb in safe mode. You don’t have to reset anything if your PlayStation is having issues
