I am a 77-years-old grandmother overly attached to her formerly good but aging computer. A computer which, annoyingly, had become very slow and, scarily, was aggressed several times a day by the ugly blue screen. The blue screen always mentioned problems with memory. "Not knowing which saint to turn to," as my mother would have said, I consulted Google and Google took me straight to your website!! Since you speak a little fast for my old brain to register unknown facts, I listened to your instructions several times while taking notes. Then I did everything you said to do, restarted the computer and -- to my astonishment -- the computer seems as fast as it was in its prime. I won't go so far as to burn a candle to St. Google but I thank you very, very much for for sharing your knowledge and skills with the uninformed.

HOLY COW. After I deleted 2,500+ files/folders from both temp folders, my computer now runs like it's brand new. And whats even crazier is the fps for one of my favorite games Void Crew jumped from 35 fps to 70-80 fps! I never knew the temp folder could affect the performance of my computer that much. Thanks for the advice!

Such a great video! For a couple of months I've been ignoring my computer starting to slow down apart from the occasional deletion of some old files. Tonight however, I decided to try and speed it up. After following your steps I truly gained 10-15 FPS in some games, and even up to 30 FPS in Minecraft, took less than 20 minutes of my time!

I used the antivirus software and it was more of a virus then antivirus. It removed antivirus intelligence from my PC, and since i had searched for updates off i did not know until later that day after removing it.
